“Early check in???”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

Their web site offer early check in if possible but, when you do try too early, there is NO room available every time.

But, when you go back later in the morning, before the check out time, surprisingly there is room available. Coincidence, may be?

Their online reservation system sucks. If you cancel and attempt to rebook during the same week, it will not allow you to do so, indicating you already have reservation for that time period? The reservation had been cancelled for over a week!

We were able to get an upgrade eventually when we were "allowed" to check in and the room were nice considering it's age.

We're going back again next week, mainly due to it's central location and price. NOT looking forward to dealing with their early check in problems.

We're budget travelers and this fit our bill just right for Vegas. It's only a place to sleep and shower...why pay any more than we need to? We DON'T live in these rooms.

Room Tip: Go during the week day. Weekend price will triple or up to 10X, especially on Saturday. We normally...

Mardi Gras tower overlooking Ceasars & Mirage. Great view of fireworks from Ceasars & the Volcano at Mirage. Beds are comfy, slept great!! My complaint is since I'm paying $18 for resort fee I should get free wifi. Great location, next to Margaritavillle, short walk to Treasure Island, Planet Hollywood & Flamingo. Will definitely stay there again!

Harrah's was located in a great spot on the strip, right in the middle and walking distance to everything. The hotel had a great price, a few good restaurants, a large casino, and clean rooms. It was not loud by our room and the rooms were spacey and clean. Only thing I would request is a full length mirror!! Staff was helpful and nice. Not many hotels here offer free wifi so there is no use complaining about that or wait times - it gets very busy in Vegas. This is a cheaper hotel price wise but it has everything you need.

I just spent June 29 - July 5 in Las Vegas. We stayed at Harrah's. After reading reviews prior to our trip I was somewhat concerned. This hotel was great. Very easy to get around, in the middle of the strip. I highly advise using the Monorail to get up and down the strip. Check in was a little long. We arrived there around 12:30 am, I felt sorry for the woman on the desk. She was the only one serving customers. Other than that, our room was clean and the staff was very helpful. I was travelling with my 70 year old mother. We stayed in the Carnival Tower on the 7th floor, and heard no noise from the bar downstairs. The Carnival Court Bar was a lot of fun. Lots of energy. I recommend going there for a drink. Warning, the drinks are pricey. All in all very happy with my stay.

Harrah's is in an awesome location down at the end of the strip. It just seems to need some updating. We stopped in the casino briefly and noticed how both the interior and exterior seemed a little out of date compared to many of the other strip casinos. This one reminded us of the hotels on Fremont street, nice but very old. Maybe the could put some of that money we give them into a facelift for the place.

Currently staying at Harrah's and enjoying it. The service I received at check in was great I'm only the most basic gold level total rewards member but there was a separate line for us to check in and took all of 5 minutes. The front desk lady was completely honest you can have a quiet room with no view of a great view but it'll be noisy. I went with noisy and a view cause I came to party and can sleep through anything but I would suggest you go quieter if you're a light sleeper. Bed is very comfortable, room is clean, no bedbugs, the only complain I have is that you don't have a lot of closet space. Otherwise this is a great hotel to stay at especially if you're looking to party.

We stayed at this hotel because we wanted to see the Million Dollar Quartet. We booked a Sunday night because we figured it would be less crowded. Okay, the bad stuff first, Don't try to check in before 3pm or you will get charged $25 early check in fee, even if the room is ready. We were hit with a $20 resort fee upon checking in, So the good deal I got online turned out to be a mediocre deal. We requested non smoking rooms with 2 queen beds. The room reeked of cigarette smoke and the beds we very hard. We know this is Vegas and people party but this is one of the noisiest hotels we have ever been to. The sink in the bathroom didn't drain and the bathroom light was out. I know they are trying to conserve water but the shower water pressure was very poor.
The good part. The show was excellent. We ate at Toby Keith restaurant and it was average if not a little pricey. Our group has decided to only stay at hotels that are up front with their fees. We can't stand the hidden surcharges, it feels like we are being cheated. We will not be staying at Harrah's again, the hotel feels old and tired and smells of stale cigarettes.
