I stayed at sin City hostel this past jan. and had an amazing time,,The staff showed me an amazing time while i was there..It was superBowl weekend and they had an awesomeBBq/party..the manager couldnt have been more helpful as he even drove me to the bus station because i was running late..Great way to see the strip..Your in vegas people..do some walkin..The staff was helpful and the rooms and linen were washed everyday!!Thanks to the staff for a great 4 days!!Cheers!!

My boyfriend and I booked to stay 3 nights in this hostel 4 months in advance. I booked us a double or twin room and we paid in advance for 1 night. A week before we were due to arrive, I emailed them to confirm our booking and the reply said we were booked into a "semi-private" room. I asked what this meant, reiterrating that I had asked for a private room and I was then assured that it was a private room and that they were looking forward to seeing us. It was easy to find and was located on the strip, although it would have been a half hour walk to the main area. The parking was good and the receptionist was helpful. We paid the rest of the money we owed them, including an additional deposit for the key. However, when we were shown our room, it turned out that we had to walk through a dormitory room just to get to our room. And the bathrom could be entered from both our room and the dorm. So private it was not. We decided we couldn't stay there so we rang one of the casinos who offered us a room for 11 dollars less a night. When we told the receptionist about our decision, she refused to give us our money back, apart from the room deposit, and was rather surly. Needless to say, the casino we stayed at was perfect and I don't know how Sin City can justify their prices. Don't stay here- enjoy your time in Vegas with better value accommodation.

The staff at Sin City Hostel are fantastic. Excellent service, friendly and really know how to have a good time. They were very informative and able to help at any time. Service with a smile.
We had a private shared room. The room itself was nice, but the walls were paper thin, and we heard the 6 other people in the dorm attached come in and out, and use the bathroom, as I am sure they heard us come and go, as we had to go through the dorm to exit the room.
The communal areas (kitchen/dining room) were fantastic, complete with a pool table.
The location was excellent. In the middle of both the casino areas of Vegas. Everywhere was a 5 minute bus ride, and the shopping centres were close bus ride too, max 20 minutes.
It was pricey mid week, but for the weekend, it was pretty good value. Mid week, a few of the hotels have some really good specials/rates on rooms.

when I arrived the staff were so friendly and informative, since i'm on a budget it was good to be told all the free things in vegas. The staff also than took me out from drinks with them and created a really social atmosphere, which i think is important for hostels, espically as a solo traveller. This is the best hostel i have been on my trip so far.
