With the mixed reviews in mind, I was a little bit afraid of what would wait for us on our wedding day in the little white wedding chapel. Little did we know how phantastic this experience would be. Everything we booked online was available including the webcam that allowed my family in Europe to participate - very important for me. Pastor Johnson is a gem and our Elvis a darling. Both went above and beyond just like the rest of the staff to make this the best day ever for us. The limo driver who had picked us up at the hotel volunteered to drive our guests back for free as we were getting a ride back in Elvis' cadillac. The pastor, Elvis, and the staff immediately started singing Happy Birthday when at the end of the beautiful wedding they learned that it was also my 50th birthday. Everything is perfectly documented on webcam video and photos. As everybody talks about tips here, nobody harrassed us with that. The minister gave us an envelope and we were not pressured to put something in. We did because he more than deserved it. We also gave tips to the driver and Elvis and the photographer as they were awsome - they did not ask us for tips. We also were allowed to use our cameras wherever we wanted - I learned that only in the chapels, they don't allow cameras. In the drive-thru and outside it is perfectly ok. I look forward to come back next year for our anniversary. This was more than I ever expected and we had the time of our life and a very positive memory. I think the fact that we got married on a Thursday added to the positive experience as the staff simply has more time to devote than on a weekend. We got married at 7PM and the light in the drive thru made great magical pictures and the temperature was great. No sweating in the Caddy. This is the place to get hitched. Las Vegas has the friendliest staff in the hotel downtown, the license recorder and at the chapel. The rude Bay Area folks at home in CA should all go for training there.

We renewed our marriage vows to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary at The Little White Chapel and the whole experience was wonderful. The staff all made us feel so special even though they were busy. Gilbert the chaffeur was a real gentleman,Derra was an extremely pleasant and helpful lady who dealt with the booking and arrangements,
"Elvis" was good fun and the Pastor made the vow renewal really special. Lorenzo the photographer made our day with an amazing DVD of the ceremony and a good selection of photos. We couldn't have asked for anything more and thank everyone for making our day so special.

Got married on the very popular date of 09-09-09. As we knew it was going to be busy due to the date and we didn't have an appointment (walk-in only), we went there at 4am. There were already 3 to 4 couples lined up to be wed. And the staff there advised us that weddings have already been non-stop even before we came. One of the couples that was already there were wed before us. I think the 2 or 3 couples that were there before us had appointments and they were just there early. We had 9 guests. There was also a news reporter and her crew due to the popular wedding date.

The staff in front was very hospitable. She's surprisingly calm and approachable despite the fact that she's been working round the clock and there was no time to for her to breathe. She even helped me pick my flower. We had Reverend Charolette Richards herself to wed us. She was pleasantly calm also with a warm, almost maternal personality. She took her time with us like there's no other couples waiting to be wed after us. And that made us feel like we're just not another couple like Britney Spears and that dude. Hehehe. The ceremony was just under 15 minutes.

I got the "tip" envelope that everyone is talking about. Rev. Richards handed out both the Wedding Certificate and the envelope to us at the end of the ceremony. The latter she did so discreetly. She mumbled something under her breath (to be discreet about it) while she gave it to us but we didn't hear exactly what she said. However, we knew right away what it was from what people are saying about this chapel. I think she handled the giving of the tip envelope well and with respect and humility.

The only complaint I have is that the reverend forgot to switch on the video camera for our wedding to be broadcasted live on their website. However, the video camera was on, just not broadcasted live. So they still have it on tape or something and they were able to rectify their mistake by uploading the video from the tape on to their website after the ceremony. So it wasn't a major issue at all. And my family back home still got to watch our wedding online.

Another small complaint. Their restroom is not in the same building as the chapel. It's in another building beside the chapel. And there's an alleyway in between. So it's kind of an inconvenience if you have to go. Especially for brides who would want to touch up their makeups.

We cabbed it from our hotel to the chapel. Before the ceremony we asked if we could get a limo ride back to our hotel and the staff in front said that their limo driver has been in and out the chapel picking up and dropping off couples so we may not be able to get a limo ride back. However, after the ceremony and the picture-taking, my husband talked to Reverend Richards and she personally arranged their limo driver to drive us back to our hotel.

We ordered photos to be picked up the next day. I read other people's review that when they came back the next day to pick up their wedding photos and the photo CDs are either not ready yet or missing. However, when my husband and I went back to the chapel to pick up our photo CD, it was there.

Overall, my experience at A Little White Wedding Chapel was pleasant and we will definitely go back to renew our vows in 10 years or so. Hope it's still around.

My new husband and I got married last week at the Little White Wedding Chapel. Our ceremony was at night (9:30PM. The ceremony was intimate and beautiful. It was just the two of us. We opted for a low-key affair in a comfortable/nice setting. We acheived this and more. Before booking the chapel, we visited it first, thinking that if we did not like what we saw, then we would go elsewhere. We were fine with it and the staff who told us about the various packages. We opted for the $129.86 package which included limo pickup and return to our hotel, the ceremony, use of the chapel, and photos (on a CD). When we arrrived, we decided to get a single red rose for me which they dressed with baby's breath and a red rose boutonniere for my husband. They told me there would be 12 photos on the CD but in actually I got 17. They came out great.

The minister that married us was Pastor Johnson. We loved him. He added prayers to our ceremony (which we were fine with as he asked us up front if he could). We gave him the vows we wanted to say and he added some of his own words, making it that much more personal. He moved us when he asked us to remember back to the first time we set eyes on each other and realized that we were meant to be together. That simple statement and all the followed, started the tears flowing...and first from my husband. We cried throughout the whole ceremony. It was a tremendous moment. We were also lucky enough to be the only couple in the entire place at that time. So we felt like the entire establishment was ours.

I had to return to get our wedding CD the next day. Unfortunately, after creating it, the photographer inadverently locked it up and the staff at the front desk did not have the key. So they called the photographer, who came back to the chapel and gave it to me. Pastor Johnson was there and wanted to make sure we had it before we left. I REALLY appreciated the effort they made so I could have my photographs.

All in all, our wedding was everything we hoped it would be and more.

And yes, you are expected (not required) to give a donation to the minister/pastor, limo driver and photographer. We had no problem with this at all. They give you an envelope for the minister's donation. This was done discreetly we felt. Some people seem to have a problem with this but if you check out any other chapel in Vegas this is standard procedure. I am also big on tipping in general especially if my expectations were met and/or exceeded. And at the Little White Wedding Chapel they were.

My (now) husband and I got married last week in the drive-thru at the Little White Chapel of Love in Las Vegas. We have been together for 15 years and were looking for something simple, quick and different. We definitely achieved that!

We have been to Vegas many times and knew what to expect from the chapel, so we were not disappointed with the chapel itself and it fit our needs, but for others, here is my assessment of the pros and cons.

Pros:
- It’s cheap. We did the drive-thru wedding and it cost $40 plus tips for the minister and photographer – we did $40 each for them, so the total cost was less than a nice dinner somewhere, even with the car rental!

- It’s quick. Our ceremony took about 5 minutes plus maybe another 10 to have some pictures taken – then we were off on our “honeymoon!”

- The lady who helped us initially (Barbi), Pastor Max and the photographer (whose name escapes me – younger guy) were all very sweet and gave us great service. I saw some other reviews where it said the pastor/photographer were pushy about their tips. I didn’t see that – they simply let us know when we were done that they worked for tips and if we’d like to contribute, they had an envelope for us. I thought it was as discrete as that type of solicitation can be.

- The ceremony was actually quite nice. Pastor Max made it feel like a more traditional wedding than what it really was.

- Our pictures turned out nice. I saw some reviews that the photographer was bad. Maybe they have more than one photographer, but we got a lot of nice shots.

Cons:
- We had called a week before to see if we needed a reservation for the drive-thru and if there was always a photographer available. We were told that no reservation was needed and a photographer would be available. When we got there in the morning (about 9:15, which I know is early for Vegas, but that’s why we called), there was no pastor or photographer. We sat in the car for nearly an hour while they called them and got them in. And since it was more than 80 degrees out at that point of the day, we were melted by the time the ceremony actually started.

- The neighborhood is not the nicest. We knew this, so it didn’t bother us, but you will be right next to a Howard Johnsons and across from some type of adult store (that’s what the drive-thru looks out at).

- The chapel/drive-thru itself is pretty worn down. We expected tacky and old, so we were ok with it, but it is Astroturf, fake flowers, peeling paint, etc. We did go into one of the chapels (I think they have 2 or 3) for pictures after the ceremony, but I didn’t pay much attention inside.

- The drive-thru is loud. You are only a few feet from Las Vegas Blvd. and the passing traffic makes it difficult to hear the pastor.

- The customer service by everyone else (except the 3 people listed in the “pros” section) was awful. We got done with taking pictures and they told us we could stop back after 3 p.m. to pick up the pictures. We had our rental car until 6 p.m. so we came back about 5:30-ish and they could not find our pictures. The 2 ladies working then were extremely rude and didn’t care that I was in tears (I had read several reviews where people never got their pictures). Their snotty attitude completely ruined our day. They wanted us to fill out a form saying they’d ship them when they found them. We refused because with their attitude, we figured they’d just never do it.

They thought maybe the pictures were locked in a room that neither of them had the key to, but they didn’t have the phone numbers of anyone who could open the room. We ended up sitting there well past our car rental return time with no answer. They said there was no way they’d have an answer that night and that we’d have to wait until the morning. We asked if they’d deliver the disk to Planet Hollywood where we were staying since we wouldn’t have a car the next day (they have cars and it is only a couple of miles away). They absolutely refused and said they wouldn’t offer us a discount or compensation for taking a cab either - basically, they said it was our problem and we could either find our way back or they’d ship them to us eventually. Since we needed them for a party when we got back and we didn’t trust them to follow through, we said we’d come back the next day. We asked them to call our cell phones immediately in the morning when the manager came in.

Naturally, the next day, we get no call from them and we had to follow up. They had found the pictures. So we had to spend extra money and time to get back down there to pick them up. When we got in there, the lady at the counter was very rude about the whole situation. Never once did anyone apologize for the inconvenience and stress or offer a helpful solution to us.

Overall:

Had it not been for the rudeness of the staff over the picture situation, I would have had no complaints – we knew what we were getting and the rest of the stuff didn’t really bother us. For others who are looking for a more “upscale” experience, you might want to check elsewhere.
