“Great adventure for a day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

If you are in Las Vegas and want a break head out to Red Rock Canyon and have a great scenic tour by hiking or just drive. It costs $7.00 to get in, but it's worth because it funds the conservatory.

“Beautiful!”

What beautiful scenery not far from the strip. Go in the afternoon and then the sunlight shines so pretty on the red red canyon.

A short drive from the excess of Las Vegas brings you to one of the most stunning places imaginable. Beautiful untamed vistas with lots of opportunity for hiking and photography.

“A great side trip while in Las Vegas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

Just a short ride out of town you'll find Red Rock Canyon where you will find a nice visitors center and a loop drive that will take you to several interesting sites where you can take short walks. Plan at least 3 hours so you can enjoy this hidden jewel.

“Stunning!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

We rented a car and drove the short distance to this park, about a half hour from downtown Las Vegas. You are transported to another world! We were fortunate to have a sunny day that provided stark contrasts in the red hills and canyons of this beautiful park. The Visitor Center is very well developed--you could spend a couple of hours on the grounds learning about the desert flora, fauna and habitat for numerous animals. There's a 14 mile loop that has several pull-outs to view impressive sights. We stopped at every one, and they each had something new to absorb and enjoy. We had a picnic lunch at the highest overlook where we had a panoramic view of the mountains, desert and the city of Las Vegas which seemed worlds away. For those who want to hike, there are trails throughout the park. If you have a car, I would definitely recommend this lovely park.
