“What a nice place, far from the Maddening Crowd”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

Beautiful views, nice walks, polite people and good exercise. There is a fee to go into the park, but the drive is easy and if you want to stop and hike, it's good.

“Surprise Vegas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

Great hiking area , and if you are a bicylist the ride to get there is pretty flat , the road is wide eve though you must share it with some traffic. Its worth it .the surprise iis the rugged beauty that close to the glitter . Note the green areas on the way showing either underground or occasional heavy rains and saw a herd(?) of wild burro on the way

“Just DO it!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

This is about the most unbelievable part of Nevada that I've ever seen! Drive the 13 mile road within it and stop at each observation point. You've never seen anything like it before.
Strangest part is when you stop at onepoint deep into the route, you all of a sudden notice that you hear nothing. ZERO! With the exception of an occasional plane flying over, the only sound you hear is YOUR own heart beating! I've never experienced anything like that in my life.
The beauty of the desert is most abundant at Red Rock and the Rangers/Volunteers are MOST helpful. Don't bother with the extra time to get to Death Valley from Vegas. You can't beat this place!

“Best of Vegas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

Definitely one of my favorite places in, well, just outside, Vegas. There are a number of excellent trails here, or you can just wander around near the road. There is a 13 mile scenic loop that you can drive (or bike) around. The first section of the loop is where the name Red Rock really comes from, but don't miss out on some of the trails in the back, like the White Rock / La Madre Springs loop. They even have a Discovery Trail for the kids.

“Worth a visit....and close to LV.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

If you don't want to travel long distance to see the Grand Canyon or other National Parks, this is a fair alternative.
We went here before seeing the GC, Bryce Canyon, etc., and it is really very nice! You will get your hands on a neat canyon where you can do hiking and climbing over the rocks.
Worth a visit!!
