“Just beautiful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

So many times I've been to Las Vegas and finally this time ventured out to the Red Rock Canyon just 20 minutes from the Strip. The first stop is the information center and gift shop. From there you drive the 13 mile scenic mile with numerous overlooks where you can take some beautiful photos. I was really looking forward to seeing the wild burros that are rumored to hang out there but never saw them. Maybe next time. Worth the drive.

“Get Outside!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

Traveling to Las Vegas? Had enough of the Gambling and the Strip? Get outside and do some hiking! Red Rock Canyon is only 30 minutes away and extremely beautiful so bring your camera. Do not reccomend going in June-August due to the heat.

“only 40 minutes away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

This is a must see, the canyons are beautiful. My wife and I love to hike and there is plenty of hiking available. We would visit again. We hiked to the other side of the canyons and had a cool view of vegas from the top.

I would go there again. Wonderful views and hikes. A 13 mile drive of scenic views. I like the red rocks there were so wonderful.

“Was I missing something?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

Rude attendant at the gate, no real 'sights' to see. If you are a hiker, I guess this would be somewhat worthwhile. Save your time and money and go to the Valley of Fire instead.
