“Overall very nice, but I probably won't be back”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2009

Stayed at the Trump 4/10-4/12. Overall my stay was nice. Won my room on priceline for $67a night, and received a free upgrade to the strip view room which was nice! We were basically here with family looking for a relaxing weekend with the kids. We aren’t gamblers so not having a casino was not issue. It was annoying though to pay a $15 resort fee. You get nothing more for this fee, so to me it’s just another way for the hotel to make some extra cash. Also, no self parking and valet parking is slow. They need to offer self parking because the wait time can get ridiculously irritating.

While the rooms were very nice, the Wynn and Bellagio are still to me a step above the Trump. The Wynn (in particular) is just more luxurious. I visited the spa and it was VERY nice I must say. We didn’t get any treatments, just relaxed and took advantage of the steam room and sauna. The pool was lovely and relaxing and very top notch. The service throughout our stay was very good. Everyone we encountered was very helpful, so kudos to Trump! Also, loved that the hotel is non smoking.

Overall this is a very nice hotel, just know that you’ll have to pay a $15 fee day (even though you get nothing extra), parking can be a bit slow and it’s valet only, and this hotel is not on the strip. Would I stay here again? Probably not. They need to get rid of the resort fee and offer valet parking before we return.

We had problems from the start. For one, we were told we had a free upgrade but when we got there the upgrade was an extra nightly surcharge. The "upgrade" basically included an extra bathroom and a kitchenette. In addition, they charge you a mandatory $15/day fee that includes access to the fitness center (usually included in most hotels), complementary water and coffee in the rooms (also usually included), free 800-number dialing (wow, thanks), and access to the parking garage, among a few other silly things. They charge delivery for room service plus an extra mandatory gratuity (more than 20%) on top of it. And, to top it off, there was no hot water the next morning for showers. When we complained about these things, management basically couldn't have cared less. We told them we were going to write a bad review and they said "fine, do whatever you want." We checked out after only one night and had a fabulous time the rest of the trip at the Palazzo.

We were going to Vegas for our wedding, and having booked on Priceline, we didn't have a choice in which 5 star hotel we got. We were disappointed when we ended up with the Trump, having read some bad reviews on Tripadvisor. But we went with an open mind, and hoped for the best. I can only reiterate what most people are saying, the rooms are gorgeous, the lack of smoke was great....HOWEVER..the service is severely lacking for a 5 star hotel. From check in, to check out, we had bad experiences everywhere. Front desk rudeness, to the bell desk losing a package that was delivered to us, housekeeping leaving wet towels on our floor, to the concierge forgetting to book the shuttle to the airport for us...it was one thing after another. Needless to say, after 5 days here, we were happy to go home. Will not stay again, no matter what the rate.

The hotel was very nice. I loved the room, was huge, with a sitting area, whirpool tub, large bathroom, kitchenette. ... A beautiful hotel. However, it was very noisy. I stayed on the 33rd floor, almost at the top, and could hear ambulances and the train like they were right outside my window. The hotel is a 5 star but the location is a 1.

I can't say enough about how nice the rooms are here. They are like apartments. Full kitchens that include just about everything you could possibly need to cook/entertain. The bathrooms were awesome including the huge jacuzzi tub. This hotel is off the strip just a little ways, but thats what makes it so great. No casino noise, and its100% non smoking which was an added bonus. Pool was great, very laid back atmosphere. The lobby has an understated elegance about it, its not over the top like other Vegas hotels. The only real drawback was having to use the valet service as it tended to take awhile to get our car each time, but other than that, the hotel was an excellent value. Great views from our room, could see all the way down the strip including being able to watch the Bellagio fountains. Would def stay here again. I love the Wynn and try to stay there when I can, but you can stay at the Trump for less than half the cost and take the free shuttle that runs from the front door of the hotel over to the Wynn if you dont want to walk the few blocks.

The hotel is very nice. The rooms are very spacious and well-appointed. Make sure you stay on the side of the hotel that looks toward the strip. The rooms on the other side (facing the freeway, which we changed rooms because of) are exposed to loud train whistles all night long. The pool is just okay, but it is very quiet. This hotel has no casino but is in walking distance to Wynn and the other hotels in that area. The entire property is non-smoking, which we really liked.

We loved this hotel! The upgraded us to a one bedroom corner view. The rooms are beautiful and the bathroom is huge. We loved the bath tub (fits two perfectly), and it has a window overlooking Vegas. The pool isn't anything special, but it's a pool and it's a couple stories up so you only see the mountains and the top of nearby casinos. The mall is right across the street. It's an easy walk to the strip, and there isn't much back there so the street is never all that busy to cross. At first we were kind of bummed that there wasn't a casino. It is so nice to walk into a smoke free lobby and the elevators are right there, instead of walking through a casino. The staff was great to us. We cant wait to go back!
