My wife and I went to tahoe for a wedding. We traded into The Ridge Tahoe. I called several times before we arrived to find out what room we would receive. The staff was very unpleasant to say the least. Also it was not unitl the day we got there that we found out where we would be staying. I was very disappointed in the Tower building. The furniture is very worn and outdated. There was a large stain on the carpet in the living room which seemed like it was never attempted to be cleaned. The appliances are very outdated as well. The one great point about the resort was our view. It could not be beat.
It should also be noted that there is not any air conditioning. When we arrived it was quite warm. As we opened the door it was very musty and smelled due to no air flow. When you do open the windows the screnes are worn and moths come into the room. Why there is not airconditioning I do not understand because it does get qutie warm.
Another issue I have was with the staff and so called concierge. She was not interested in helping us find activites or to give us directions. Luckily we brought our gps with us.
I was very shocked to see that internet was not included. I could not get a signal on my cell phone and had to break down and pay the outragious price to get an hour of internet a couple of times to keep in touch with the world. The really gouge you at $5.95 for an hour!
Overall it was just an OKAY stay. I would not reccomend the Ridge Tahoe unless the price was very cheap and you do not mind a very outdated hotel quality room.
