My wife and I went to tahoe for a wedding. We traded into The Ridge Tahoe. I called several times before we arrived to find out what room we would receive. The staff was very unpleasant to say the least. Also it was not unitl the day we got there that we found out where we would be staying. I was very disappointed in the Tower building. The furniture is very worn and outdated. There was a large stain on the carpet in the living room which seemed like it was never attempted to be cleaned. The appliances are very outdated as well. The one great point about the resort was our view. It could not be beat.
It should also be noted that there is not any air conditioning. When we arrived it was quite warm. As we opened the door it was very musty and smelled due to no air flow. When you do open the windows the screnes are worn and moths come into the room. Why there is not airconditioning I do not understand because it does get qutie warm.
Another issue I have was with the staff and so called concierge. She was not interested in helping us find activites or to give us directions. Luckily we brought our gps with us.
I was very shocked to see that internet was not included. I could not get a signal on my cell phone and had to break down and pay the outragious price to get an hour of internet a couple of times to keep in touch with the world. The really gouge you at $5.95 for an hour!
Overall it was just an OKAY stay. I would not reccomend the Ridge Tahoe unless the price was very cheap and you do not mind a very outdated hotel quality room.

We enjoyed our stay at RT. We were upgraded to a 2 br in the Plaza tower. The room was very nice with flat screen TVs throughout. The bathrooms are basic motel bathrooms. The facilities are very nice. We enjoyed the pools and noticed quite a bit of other activities. We enjoyed being up on the mountain.

We just returned from a July 4th week in the Naegle #1231 and completely enjoyed our week. The weather was great and fire works on the Lake not as good as past years but good!
Found this year a big improvement with the Hungry Bear Restaurant. Had the Rib Eye Steak two nights with red wine and just had a good time with stop over at the bar for couple drinks and Will the bartender is really nice and makes good drinks and service!
My favorite employee is still Carol K at the Ridge Spa that gives a massage every time we have come up to Lake Tahoe.

Low price during summer, but would not go back. Not pleasant.

Stayed here as part of a meetings for work. My husband came with me.

Old, shabby, far from lake and south shore. The rooms did not have air conditioning and it was very hot. They have air resevoirs that are suppose to cool down the rooms after filling with water and ice. It did hardly anything.

We saw lots of families there and there seemed to be a lot of things for kids (pools, miniature golf).

Screens were old, and moths came in the room. I'm surprised it's rated 4 star class-- service did not reflect this. This place may be ideal for the winter since it's at Heavenly (I've enjoyed skiing there in the past). But for summer, very unpleasant.

Poor internet service, including in the conference rooms.

We encountered a few problems when arriving and checking in our room. The condo we were given contained a freshly lacquered wooden table in the kitchen and we could smell it before we opened the door. There was a sign on the table which said Wet- do not touch. The smell was awful! We called housekeeping and asked to change rooms. They sent someone with a new room key and we moved all our luggage to our new room. We had to sleep on the pull out sofa and when I removed the couch cushions, I was disgusted to find dried bread crusts and crumbs under them. I was completely grossed out seeing as this was where I was going to sleep. We called housekeeping again and they sent someone who cleaned the bread crumbs up with her hands (no vacuum). Gross....Also the sofa bed mattress is only about an inch and half thick. We had to put mattress on the floor and sleep because of the bars poking through from the pull-out bed. Other than these initial things, the rest of the stay was okay. Housekeeping cleaned room everday, plenty of towels, big bathtubs, other 2 beds were comfortable. Hot tub was great and also beautiful scenery!
