“If it's New Years Eve this must be Green Valley Ranch!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2012

I've brought New Years 2010, 2011 and now 2012 in in Las Vegas. On each occasion I was fortunate to have Green Valley Ranch as my base of operations. Having been to Las Vegas frequently since 1986, I first became aware of Green Valley Ranch while attending a business conference in October 2008. Part of the "draw" of this conference to me was the announced location-LAS VEGAS!!! I was picked up at the airport by a driver holding a sign with my name and taken to Green Valley Ranch. Though the conference was moderately time consuming, there was also ample time for leisure activities. It was only on my way back to the airport to return home after three days that I realized that it hadn't crossed my mind to leave Henderson to venture into Vegas proper (the strip and downtown.) Green Valley easily catered to all my needs. On my subsequent visits, Green Valley has provided me with the comforts of lavish well appointed surroundings. I make day excursions to the strip and to downtown, but it's great to be able to return to Green Valley to chill and ask myself why I don't do this more often?

Room Tip: Just call, their staff is great!!!

We stayed here on a visit to family, it is close to where he lives. It is a nice, well maintained property, with a movie theater and well regarded spa. The room was large and clean, but getting old.

We had a ground floor room which was fine during the winter, but in the summer, make sure you are nowhere near the pool on the ground floor as the noise would be too much to sleep. Our room was an adjoining room and the doors were paper thin and we could hear every cough and conversation in the room next door.

We weren't there to gamble, so the old tube-TV in the room with no hookups was disappointing. The property is HUGE and navagating is nearly impossible if you aren't familiar with the layout.

Our largest complaint was that housekeeping did a knock and enter to check on the room. AT 6:45 am. While we didn't have the Do Not Disturb light turned on, this was completely unacceptable, as was the front desk's response when we called to ask if we were expected to check out a day early or something. They didn't really seem to care.

Room Tip: If you are there to sleep, don't get a room facing the pool area, or on the ground floor due to...

This is a great hotel, with all you need for a wonderful vacation in Las Vegas. Although it is not in the Strip, and about 10 miles from it, we found the place very good to be out of the craziness of the big and crowded hotels in downtown LV. The pool area is amazing, the cassino do not smell cigars so badly as the others in the Strip, the food in the Feast Buffet is good and great price when you get the Boarding Pass, all the facilities are very well decorated. We were in a family vacation and loved the hotel. I would stay there again for sure!

I've stayed at nearly every hotel in Vegas, from the posh encore and the glamorous cosmopolitan down to the classic riviera and horrible circus circus. The green valley ranch hotel is simply strange and unlike any of the others. It's hard to find, the parking garage is even tougher to locate and inside, the front desk is impossible. The hotel is quite beautiful, but almost in that old spooky mansion way. Nice place, terrible design and layout. Now, the biggest dagger in the heart in my opinion, are the old school tube tvs. In fact, the rooms are woefully out of date. The hallways to the rooms look nice, almost encore-ish, then, bang. You open the door to your room and step into 1995. The phones in the room are dirty as is the remote control. I literally didn't want to touch my face after touching the sticky remote and or phone. Everything else seemed pretty clean. The room service is prompt and decent, the food is decent but not great. The only thing I've been consistently impressed with is the staff. Everyone is nice and helpful. Overall, unless I got a great deal aka free room, I wouldn't stay here again. There are much better offerings in Vegas for the price. It's worth seeing, but not twice.

GVR was a great surprise amongst the behemoth casinos of Las Vegas. The staff was extra helpful in every way since I'm temporarily handicapped. The handicap facilities were acceptable.
