“Best service in the west”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012

I had an unplanned stay at the Ramada Copper Queen in Ely NV after a vehicle mishap on US50. From the moment I opened the door, looking the worse for wear, everyone bent over backwards to help me. The staff at Reception offered to take me to the local clinic to get checked over. The hotel picked me up afterwards near midnight and said "Anything at all that you need, just let us know." They helped me with transportation to get prescriptions, organized my laundry, helped me make plans to fly home, and even drove me to the airport.
I have travelled from coast to coast and stayed in all levels of hotels but the staff at the Ramada Copper Queen was the most genuinely helpful and pleasant group that I have ever met.

Room Tip: It's worth a little extra to stay at the main hotel for easier access to pool and restaurant.

Though not very impressive from the road, our room was a very pleasant surprise; absolutely clean, the latest technology, up to date furnishing and fresh looking bed linens. Complementary cookies and bottled water were provided. Our room was across the street from the main building a had parking at the door, which worked well for us. The complimentary breakfast served in the
main building offered an extensive selection of hot and cold items.

We would stay here again.

Rooms are nice and clean. Noise level a bit high , but not terrible. The restraunt could have a little better service . Had to wait half an hour for a salad and 2 sandwiches. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Overall not a bad stop over on the way to Vegas.

Room Tip: Must go and see the train museum. Rooms at the main hotel can get a bit noisy at night. But not real...

Stayed here on our way to Las Vegas. The room was clean and easy to get to. We stayed in the Smoking Wing so that we could have a king bed even though we are not smokers. Be sure to put your do not disturb sign out (ours kept falling off so we gave up) as house keeping comes rather early.

This was the 2nd time staying here on a stopover traveling south. What a handy little hotel. Rooms were very clean. Restaurant upstairs has good food and the casino is literally right outside your room. The doors to the rooms are soundproofed for the most part so getting a good night sleep was not a problem. The breakfast served is adequate and tasty and got the job done. The people at check-in are always friendly and helpful. We will definately stay here again when passing through.

I travel to Ely at least twice a year, I have tried about every hotel and motel there. The Copper Queen has a great, freindly staff, smoke free rooms, very nice breakfast, and reasonable rates. I will stay no where else when I visit the Great community of Ely.

Room Tip: 2nd floor of the main building

Ely NV is a neat old western town along Hwy 50, the loneliest highway in America. A crossroads today just as it was during the time of horse and buggy with cool air compared to the surrounding desert. The Ramada Inn/Casino is a different kind of gaming room. They have ten rooms on each side of the indoor casino with a pool on the same level and only two floors. Our room was on the casino level with the pool just a few feet away. The air was cold, water hot and the room very clean. The hotel’s restaurant had decent food at a decent price so I recommend the Ramada if you pass through Ely. Also on the plus side, by parking in the year, its a short walk to carry luggage to your vehicle, no charge for wifi and the slots seem to pay well.

Room Tip: Stay in the rear by the indoor pool on the same level as casino.
