This is my second time to this Hotel and as always the staff was very friendly and professional. My room was ready even though I arrived earlier than expected and it was immaculate. I appreciate the fact that they put a small refrigerator and microwave in every room. The bed was comfy and there were plenty of pillows. Feather comforter and feather pillows (if you are allergic to down bedding, call the hotel in advance as they can make arrangements for you.) Bathroom was very clean with lots of soaps, shampoo's and towels. Also room has a hairdryer, coffee maker with lots of instant coffee (no additional charge) and to-go coffee cups.

Two downfalls~
1) My room was at the back of the property overlooking a construction yard. Not a big deal as I did not come to Elko for the spectacular views. However, it became a problem at 5am when the construction folks arrived for work and began using loud forklifts to move things around.

2) The refrigerator worked great but was noisy. My stay would have been greatly improved had a I brought my earplugs. Then I would not have heard the frige or the workers.

Overall, still a great hotel. Located close to food, shopping and easy access to I-80.

Clean room. Comfy beds and breakfast was included. Nothing special but a good place for one night stop over. My only complaint was noise from upper level.

Beds were great, room was clean, nice pool area, workout area a bit lacking. High speed internet worked just fine. Breakfast buffet is overpriced for what one gets. All in, I would stay again.

We stayed one night at this HGI and were pleasantly surprised. We requested a non-smoking suite on the top floor and actually got what we requested. The suite was very clean, spacious and the living room and kitchenette were separate from the bedroom. Although we were close to Interstate 80 we heard no noise from passing cars; pretty good for a chain hotel.

HGI's offer use of the internet, free of charge for their guests; a nice perk that you don't find at many hotels.

The only negative comment comment we have is directed to guests traveling with children. PLEASE CONTROL YOUR CHILDREN so that they are not distrubing other guests by running up and down the halls and screaming while doing so. It was about 9:30p.m. when my husband had to remind a couple of kids that they weren't at the park or playground and asked them to stop running up and down the hall. Other than that we were pleased with this hotel.

Keep in mind that no complimentary meals are served at this hotel. Most HGI's have a small restaurant which serves a decent breakfast for about $8, complete with coffee and juice included. Some HGI's offer lunch and dinner, this one did.

Restaurants are close and we found a darn good Italian place a mile or so down on the main road - not much to look at from the outside however, the inside tells a different story. The service was excellent and the food delicious, much better than the casino buffets.
