“Excellent Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2010

Excellent hotel and although it is close to the freeway it is extremely quiet and very comfortable. It is 3 miles out of town away from the busy area which can only be a good thing. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. There was a lovely indoor pool and the staff were all very helpful and polite. We stayed for 3 nights and had no gripes whatsoever. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed only one night on points so no cost. Very nice new hotel with great color scheme in decorating. Room was standard but well done. Breakfast typical Hampton fare. Comfortable bed as always with minimal road noise.

I liked the "help yourself" attitude at the Hampton Inn. Cookies at check-in, reception with wine & snacks four nights a week, newspapers at the ready, convenient and varied breakfast bar from 6am to 10am daily - nice details after the nickel-and-dime airline experience. Because the hotel was nearly full, we were given a room which happened to be wheelchair-accessible, including accessible bathroom with roll-in shower. We liked the modern Southwestern decor and attention to cleanliness throughout, as well as the pool, whirlpool, and fitness room (4 or 5 machines with a view of the pool). As someone else mentioned, the 1st floor rooms could use sheer panels on the windows for added privacy - you can't get any natural light without exposing your entire room to people passing through the parking lot. Finally, neither of us liked the bed much; just not our sleep style, though the bed linens were nice.

I booked this hotel because of all the great reviews.
The rooms and staff are very nice.
However the walls are paper thin. The people above us were up late and the people
next door were up early so no sleep was to be had.
The walls are so thin I could hear the room next door open the drapes and every other sound they made. Would not stay here again.

Stayed at the Hampton after the holidays. The staff is not only very friendly, but they go out of their way to help guest like us who don't know anything that goes on in this area. And they have a person at the desk who knows everything there is to know about this area, and when it is happening. With a guest reception they have now since the last time I was there, it's even better then it was before. Great place!

We stayed three nights. The manager on duty was very pleasant and called our room shortly after checking in to see if we needed anything. We didn't know it at that time but the bed was very hard. We considered moving to the Holiday inn Express for a better bed, but the Hampton was a lot less and maybe the bed wouldn't have been any better.
A complimentary USA Today is provided and balanced with Fox News on the TV in the breakfast room. A full selection of eggs, taters, cereals, pastries, yogurts and the like are constantly replenished and it ran from 6am to 10am which fits most schedules.
We had zero problem with the WiFi. And also didn't notice road noise as mentioned by others. We had a 1st floor room facing west to 395.
The only other gripe besides the bed is that after the maid service attends the room, they open the curtains fully. Hey! We're on the first floor! Not a problem so much on the upper floors, but who wants people to peer into your room from the parking lot and see what you may have out. And they turn on the light to boot. Not good.
We would stay again if they changed out the beds. If you don't mind a hard bed, the Hampton is a terrific value.
