This 60s era property is a pleasant surprise. I must have driven by it a couple dozen times and never noticed. It's real bargain at $39, their midweek rate. I usually stay at Days Inn but they're starting to show their age and typically charge over $50. The room is just as nice at City Center and there are a lot more walkable restaurants here. Actually the room is quite a bit larger and towels a lot thicker. The only negative is the street noise. Days Inn is set back enough not to get it. There's also a so-called breakfast at Days Inn but it's nothing more than sweets and coffee.
Both properties are far superior to the dreadful, wretched Super 8 here in Carson. The worst property to have a brand name I've ever seen.
