“Atomically Terrific”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small unexpectedly pleasant, suave and technologically up to date motel in Beatty, NV. We weren't sure how the accommodations would actually be after reading some of the reviews on this sight. But the internet, cable, A.C. unit and clean accommodations left little to be desired. The staff was polite and friendly and tended to our needs directly. The only criticism I have for the Atomic Inn is that the continental breakfast did not consist of much and we wanted more after eating. But the coffee was good and the movie we "rented" for free from the office kept US entertained during breakfast. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at the Atomic Inn while in Beatty, Nv. Great room and great price!

Room Tip: Get the deluxe room it's worth the few bucks more

Our technology is very up to date. We have free wi-fi in our rooms as well as directv channels on our flat screen tvs. Also dvd players to keep anyone entertained with a free movie from the lobby. Our a/c units work well and so do our heaters.

Needed to stay one night because my original motel canceled me for no reason at all.
I called the Atomic Inn and not only did they provide me with a clean, relaxing room, they were even nice about it.
Highly recomend

We believe that good helpful customer service will bring customers back each and every time. Our rooms are clean and comfortable too. A major plus is we're off the main highway so it's nice and quiet.

We found ourselves needing to stay longer in the Death Valley Area but wanted a place with some cool character but also clean and safe....and affordable. Bingo, we hit the jack pot. They recommended the quaint restarant down the road where we bought the best brownies and returned to our room and watched episodes of Twilight Zone that we checked out at the front desk. Super friendly staff.

Our hotel is a prime location for anyone wanting a stopover on the way to Death Valley. We're near enough that you don't actually have to pay high prices staying in the park and you can still enjoy the beauty of the valley and come back to the Atomic Inn. We love the funky decor that we have. It makes it unique to each guest we have and it brings them back.

This inn meets all requirements to be called a dump. No further commentry needed. A neighbor complained about snakes and scorpions, of which we did not see any, PTL!
Beatty does not have much to offer. It's just a place on the way. Much too expensive for what it's worth.

For someone to say that the Atomic Inn is a dump is absolutely out of line. Our rooms are clean, comfortable and well kept. Our rooms have nice furniture, fixtures, carpet, linens, everything. We have free wi-fi and premium directv channels to watch on our flat screen tvs. If you don't want to watch tv then feel free to check out a movie from our lobby and watch that in your room on your in room dvd player. Our location is in the desert so yes we do have common desert wildlife although I haven't seen scorpions or snakes around this place at all. Sometimes listening to people talk about this town isn't the way to learn about this town. Beatty is a nice stopover town on the way to Death Valley, Reno, Las Vegas, or anywhere else you need to go. Come to the Atomic Inn and see!

After a nine hour drive through California to Beatty I could not express my joy upon seeing the lights of the Atomic Inn, unfortunately it really didn't turn out to be as I had expected. We were situated in one of the rooms at the front, which was fine as it was quiet enough, we were able to park directly out front and it was a quick walk to the bars.
The motel itself is very close to the ghost town of Rhyolite which is well worth a visit and is also only 8 miles to the entrance of Death Valley NP. However, it is on a side street and seems to be in amongst a residential trailer park....admittedly we did have some doubts over the security of the place. We stayed in room number 5 and there looked like there had been some recent activity near the door lock, however our trip was incident free, so we maybe we should reserve judgement on that one?
The girl on the desk was nice enough, but I am afraid the cleanliness of the place does need to be addressed. In our bathroom there were very long dark hairs over the floor, the inside of the shower curtain was filthy and either needed bleaching or replacing, and there were small black dog hairs all over the bedspread. I guess you get what you pay for, but with a bit more attention to detail on the housekeeping front, this place could be a million times better. The bed itself was comfortable enough if you can get past the fact that you just need to get on with it as it too late to head on elsewhere, and the exterior decor was cool.
I was really looking forward to spending two nights in this retro motel, but ended up staying for only one, as I felt more itchy than kitsch-y after a nights kip here.

We do apologize for the condition of your room and wish that you had told us of this sooner as we could have moved you to another room. There is no need to doubt security here, our property is very safe. We are located on a side street, but being near trailer parks does not make it unsafe. Our rooms are clean and well kept. Our friendly staff is ready to help with any need so everyone has a nice comfortable stay here at the Atomic Inn.

Hello, Further to our stay on the 21st. September for 3 adults
We would like to say what a excellent time we had with a nice clean room with spotless en-suite. The staff were very helpful and polite and we would recommend the hotel to anybody. When we first arrived the location from the outside (not the inns fault) did worry us but is was brilliant.
It was a lovely stay
regards David, Janet & Tina

Room Tip: The inn is under going a refurbishment program offers excellent value for money with clean and good...

My fiancee and I recently came to Beatty, NV for a Tough Mudder event. Initially, we booked for two days at the Atomic Inn, however we needed to change to one day. Upon arrival, the person at the front desk remembered the call we had made a week prior to changing the reservation to one day. When we asked her for directions to the location of the Tough Mudder event, she was well informed in giving us perfect directions. Atomic Inn is set in a small town remote from the city, filled with friendly and welcoming locals.I enjoyed the little amenities that came with our room; microwave, small firdge, tv, a/c. Everything was clean, with exception to the shower curtain, which was layered in yellow scum on the inside. I can't speak for any other rooms, but we had a very, very firm bed, which was difficult for us to sleep throughout the night.
Overall the rooms were well kept, and for the price we got it at, it was a good deal.
