Dalqueich Farmhouse is the most pleasant guest house that I have stayed in ever; this opinion is shared too by my daughter and fiancé. The hospitality and facilities are second to none and you are made to feel like that this is your own home with a warm and caring aim to please the guests.
Attention to detail is another positive that Helen and Bob excel in; by making sure the rooms have everything you would possibly need for the duration of your stay.
The atmosphere of resting in your own dedicated sitting room in front of an open fire with a nice cuppa (brought to you) reading one of the many books or even a game or puzzle is so relaxing.
Breakfast was fantastic, with fresh fruit, cereals, muesli, yogurt, poached plums that were exquisite and wait for it a delightful fry up with eggs from their free to roam chickens. You are asked the evening before what you would like for breakfast and this really gives you a great start to the day. Homemade award winning preserves are on the well presented breakfast table and again a welcoming open fire to make the moment wonderful. The presentation of the room with homemade bread and other little additions made for an outstanding and leisurely experience.
All in all we had an excellent stay and left with fond memories and even a few pictures from the preceding night’s activities.
A big thank you to Helen and Bob from Patricia, Gordon and Olivia.
