We have eaten here several times and it can be patchy. Would not recommend going on a Tuesday night when it is very quiet as things are not as good as when it is busy, suspect it might be chef's night off. Anyway, we went on a Wednesday this time and it was packed. The very nice staff found us a table. Service was super all the way through, friendly and efficient. Unfortunately a couple of things had run out but we were told that right at the start so that was fine. Lovely meal, beautifully cooked and really tasty. House wine tends to be a bit expensive for what it is, but that's where they make the money I suppose. Nice short pub menu with steaks, fish, several vegetarian options too, should please everyone. The pub has nice decor, fires in the winter and seats outside in the summer. Can recommend.
