“Historic Dining Location - Almost 100 yrs old”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

When visiting Wahoo or close by in Nebraska, must go to the Wigwam Cafe and have lunch and banana cream pie!! My wife's mom use to go there for lunch in the 1930 for $.25, so we go there when we visit Nebraska. There was a movie filmed there in the 1990s. The food is all home made and delicious!! Highly recommended for a historic meal!

“Good little town cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

The Wigwam Cafe has history in Wahoo, NE. The food was good and service was ok. I think they were shortstaffed but they did their best. They do not take credit cards so make sure you have cash. Also they were only open for breakfast and lunch.

“Friendly Fare in Historic Building”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2012

Tucked away in a row of historic buildings on Wahoo's main street, the Wigman looks worn from the outside, but inside it's a clean blend of historic foundation with modern interior. It was moderately crowded on a Thursday evening with a pleasant mix of local folks. There is no menu in the evening; order off of the whiteboard. Choices are standard country cafe fare, e.g. steak, shrimp, chicken fried steak, pork tenderloin, burgers. What the Wigwam does, it does well. Service was average, but friendly. There is a bar with a good selection of bottled beers at a 40% discount from city prices. The bar is a complement to the restaurant, not the other way around. Most beers are ordered by diners in small quantities. Be advised that the Wigwam does NOT take credit... cash only, though there is an ATM conveniently around the corner.
