“Good over nite stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

Don't understand some of the poor reviews. Reading between the lines i think much of there problems is caused by them. not the motel. Older style motel, smaller so don't have to walk miles to get through the lobby to rooms. If you want a castle, not for you. BUT if want clean rooms with updated bathrooms. Appropriate breakfast/( Waffles, Eggs,Yogurt etc) easy in and out access, then should be for you. . I stayed in much more ornate castles and liked a lot less. Not for the destination traveler but great for one or 2 nights..

Room Tip: If have a lot of luggage ask for access to parking from room. Even then a lot easier than most mote...

Friendly, helpful staff. Reasonable rates, EXCELLENT breakfast. 2 kinds of waffles, an assortment of pastries, 3 kinds of cereals, both hot and cold, fresh hot coffee. Delicious sausages, fresh scrambled eggs. Can't say enough!!! I would highly recomend it!! I will be returning.

Room Tip: There is no elevator, so get a room on the first floor.

Only stayed one night on our way home on a long trip. Location was right off the highway so was convenient. It's an older motel, but the room had been renovated and was clean and tidy. The desk person was friendly and helpful, check in went smoothly. We chose a room with an outside entrance door so we could take in our luggage without having to haul it through the motel. Unfortunately by the time we checked in the pool/hot tub were closed so we didn't get to utilize them. Newer air conditioning unit that worked well and was quiet. Bed was comfortable with lots of pillows to choose from. Breakfast was the usual motel choices. Breakfast area was clean and well stocked.

Room Tip: You can have the option of a room with an outside & inside entrance or with only entrance from t...

After reading some of these reviews I can't help wondering, "Are we talking about the same comfort Inn?" I've stayed at the Comfort Inn in Ogallala on four different occasions over a six year period. I've always enjoyed my stays there. I've never had any problems with customer service. Their breakfast was great and the hostess on duty was SUPER! Thought I'd throw in my two bits since it is in such extreme contrast to what some others have posted.

Left a computer there. Called back to retrieve it there. Before they could even say they had it they threaten that we owed $50 for a service animal we had. Holiday in charges $25 per night for an animal and they dont charge at all for service animals. This place isnt wort $36 per night let alone the $75 i paid and then they wanted another $50 on top of that for a service dog that weighs 9 lbs. i checked in at midnight and out by 6 am. i was told that i may never get my computer if i didnt pay the $50 for the service dog. BeWARE!!!!! especially pet owners. Avoid this dingy hotel and their extremely rude and threatening staff

4 nights....3 rooms. Approximately 1000.00 spent and everyone in our party was treated horribly at least one time. Our frustration peaked because of the attitude that accompanied every conversation and every policy enforcement. It felt a lot more like getting held back from recess than a Thanksgiving vacation. Please have your staff AND manager re-trained on customer service. Our party consisted of educated professionals who did not deserve this behavior. We will never return to this motel. Our business will be done with other motels in Ogallala.

This is the Hotel of No, NO, No & NO-WAY!! Upon arrival, the front -desk informed us that the JACUZZI is not working.... It just happened before we arrived... SO SORRY! After 584 miles on the road with a 5 - yr- old (and MOM), this is unacceptable. One guest in the pool area said there was nothing wrong with the JACUZZI; the staff just came and covered it so no more KIDS (over the age of FIVE), or ADULTS would use it. In the morning, breakfast was poor AT BEST: the eggs, bagels, waffle & oatmeal were either SUPER SALTY or SUPER SWEET...straight out of the package. Coffee and apple juice(on-tap) was watered-down, My daughter wouldn't touch it. We could not fill enough ICE at the dispenser. The STAFF hovered over my wife & said "you"ll not be able to FILL-UP one small grocery bag" ---for the next 640 miles!! We had to walk across the street to a gas station and pay nearly $4 for a 5-LB BAG....CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP. There were signs everywhere what "THE RULES" are, regarding every issue from parking (which was INADEQUATE for all the CAMPERS/RV's) to smoking, pets, noise in halls. WOW COMMUNISM RE-VISITED. TOTAL DISREGARD FOR THE GUEST NEEDS. Congratulations CHOICE HOTELS: You have lost a guest, who drives 3-4 times per year (2200-2500 miles one-way). I'm cancelling My Choice membership NOW!!
