As far as Choice Hotels go I've stayed in two in North Platte the Comfort Inn and the Quality inn and I have to say I liked the Comfort much better.
The hotel is an older property but is still clean and comfortable. The rooms are average sized with tiny bathrooms and a sink out in the sleeping area. Personally I prefer hotels where the sink is actually inside the bathroom but having the sink outside the bathroom is very common in these older hotels. The bathrooms are very small and confining so if your a larger person you might have a hard time managing in there. My room was very clean, it had a king bed and a microwave and fridge. The bed itself was a tad firm but I still got a great nights sleep.
The hotel is in a good location, its right next door to the America's 20th Century Veterans Memorial and I'd highly recommend taking a walk over there and checking it out.
Overall, the room itself was pretty basic but its the staff that make this hotel excellent. The staff and management are great. This is one of the few Choice Hotels I've run into to that actually acknowledges Choice Privileges Elite members and thanks you for your loyalty.
One real negative however was the wireless Internet. The Internet was especially lousy, not only was it slow but it was intermittent as well, I could only stay connected for a minute or two at a time which was quite frustrating for a business traveler like myself who relies on the Internet. This was one of the worst Internets I've run into in a Choice Hotel in some time.
All in all this is a pretty solid hotel but like every hotel in North Platte it is rather expensive and not necessarily the greatest of values, still if you have to stay in North Platte I'd recommend this hotel.
