“Excellent Patty Melt”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

We stopped here ten minutes before closing on a Sunday might and the staff were still cordial. They stopped putting up the chairs and took our orders for a sandwich after a very long day's drive. Very tasty patty melts on rye for under $4.00. Really hit the spot.

“Eat ANYwhere else!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

Here's the positive-the bathroom is clean & they brew their tea. Period. The greeter was clueless bordering on rude /smug, the waitress was timid, naive & void of personality. The food was Awful! The turkey for the turkey dinner was thick sliced lunch meat & was only slightly warm. There was a thimble sized container for the salad dressing & the salad was iceberg lettuce. We asked for a lot of tomatoes and got two slices. The chicken fried steak was unrecognizable as such. I think it was some kind of ground meat formed into a patty. The gravy was palatable. The mashed potatoes were either made from instant potatoes or full of disgusting margarine or both - yuck! I cannot believe anyone with taste buds would recommend this place. We'd have given it 1/2 star if we could've. AND the final straw was that when went to pay (not earlier, with a sign or verbally) we were told it is cash only. A good place to eat if you want someone else to heat up your TV dinner.

“Good price good food”

This is one of the best in town. Service always good. Food always good. The prices are cheaper than mcdonalds and the food is way better. Will go back for sure

“Good HOT meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013 via mobile

Despite being very busy on a Saturday night, our meals arrived promptly and everything was nice and HOT. The fried chicken was freshly made and had nice big pieces. (I've never seen a wing that large before!) The roast beef we had was thick cut and very tasty, if not the most tender. The bad news was that the mashed potatoes were instant flakes rather than homemade which seemed really odd for a place like this. Service was attentive and pretty good, he actually apologized for the wait because they just had a couple large groups but I don't think he really needed to apologize. Ice cream was soft serve, unfortunately. It has a great hometown atmosphere with lots of friendly neighbors and guys in cowboy hats. The place is very casual, prices reasonable, and it seemed pretty clean. We would definitely go back again.

“Friendly, down home restaurant”

Good service. Menu offered sandwiches, dinner choices.
Many of fried foods. Fish and chips served in basket, not plated. Side salad came with meal. Reasonable prices.
