“Breath taking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

This is the most stunning waterfall. We visited about 3 other waterfalls and this one really was amazing. Relatively difficult to find, however, well worth the drive and better than any of the other falls

“Plodda Falls”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

Visited Plodda falls during winter, which made for an interesting sight as the falls coated its surroundings in icicles.

The view of the falls is more spectacular from the bottom, however the path down involves some clambering over exposed tree roots and some parts of it are quite thin due to erosion.

Something to watch for is that the road to the falls was full of potholes, and is often only wide enough for one car.

“Worth a visit!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

These are spectacular falls, a bit out the way for most things but if you are arround tommich and glen affric its definately worth a visit! Some nice walks and after a couple days of rain the falls are incredible!

“Waterfalls - bit boring? not this one”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

Let’s face it, waterfalls are well - yes all much the same? But this one is a bit special. Yes it is not entirely natural (made by diverting a water course over a decade ago I guess), but that is possibly why it is so good. And the fact that it is in an extraordinarily scenic location. And it does not take long to get to having parked the car. Or there are longer routes if you have the time. Yes, it is a bit off the beaten track, and along a fairly rough road, but the route to it (some 6 miles off the main road) is itself a very nice drive.

There is a platform near the top of the waterfall enabling you to look right over the beautiful gorge ‘cut’ by the river, to the bottom of the waterfall and its pools. I could imagine it is well worth while visiting at any time of the year - the seasons changing the surrounding scenery to great effect - don’t miss it.

“Wonderful scenery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

Although the waterfall is not natural (formed as a result of forestry work last century) it is really spectacular and worth searching out. The surrounding area of Guisachan Estate is also very beautiful. Sad to see Guisachan House in such a sad state but the history (including the origin of the golden retreiver) is worth searching for on the internet. Altogether a fascinating area. Beware the Scottish midge in summer.
