“Very good for a very small hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

We stayed one night only, driving through. This is a very small hotel, just perfect for a clean, quick stay. Room was very clean, beds soft, parking easy, interior rooms for safety. Two gentlemen checked us in on Wednesday evening, and were very friendly, efficient and informative. Recommended Mexican restaurant right off of parking lot, Mazitlan II, which was great to just walk to without moving your car. There us a Burger King, an ice cream shop and a smoothie drivethrough right off if parking lot also. Breakfast area very small, good for a nutritious yogurt, hard boiled eggs, fruit, juices, waffle maker, cereals, and hot eggs and sausage patties. Coffee was good. The gal who worked there was super friendly, handing out newspapers, refilling food items, very welcoming even though she was buzzing around trying to keep up because the kitchen seemed to be behind the front desk, which is a bad layout for them. Cant imagine how many miles she logs in that small work space! The hotel is right behind the Burger King, so when exiting expressway, its on your left side. Good hotel, we would stay here again. I gave it 4 stars because it is in this price category.

I am writing this as I'm sitting in my room. The hospitality here is superb. Everyone has been super friendly and welcoming!

The reason I'm giving this only three is because of the property itself. It feels a lot like a Super 8. It is an older property that they have remodeled. They did a great job remodeling. But it still has a smaller hotel feel. The bathrooms are super tiny. They added those arc shower curtain rods - that bumps right into the door leaving less than 24 inches of standing space leaving it feeling cramped, and I'm not a big person. The towels are adequate but supersoft so that is a bonus. The beds are firm so if you like firm then you are going to be okay. There are no fridges and the room coffee is horrible. The hotel itself is very hard to find and I'm familiar with Lincoln. The breakfast is actually pretty subpar. Only instant oatmeal, some eggs, sausage, etc. and very few tables. I had to take my breakfast to the room to eat. Again it feels a lot like super 8 or Microtel Inn. For the price I would not stay here again. I would rather go down the street & stay at Holiday Inn Express just a couple blocks away. That seems to be the trend I have found so far. Marriott properties seem to be really hit or miss. Sometimes they're excellent and sometimes they just kind of suck.

From the moment that you walk through the door, everyone makes you feel that you are their top priority. I have never stayed in a hotel that truly, truly cares about every aspect of your stay more than this hotel. It was not just about getting a nice room, they care about what happens after you get your room. They care about providing the best food for breakfast, and provide an exceptional variety of quality food. The breakfast coordinator was excellent, and truly cares about your dining experience. When you are ready to take care of things on your own agenda, this hotel sends you out with a personal bag with healthy snacks, fruit, and bottled water! All free! The housekeeping staff at this hotel is excellent, and are diligent about making sure the room is exceptional, and all of the amenities are available. Finally, management was wonderful. Their goal is to make sure that your stay is the greatest ever, and they truly strive to reach that goal. This hotel was OUTSTANDING! I will definitely be back.

We stayed at the Lincoln Fairfield Inn April 15 through 20 and couldn't have been more pleased with our accommodations. The rooms were very clean and spacious (though I must say, the bathrooms are quite small but fine for what bathrooms are needed for). The breakfast was very nice and tasty. We didn't use the pool but the hot tub was wonderful after a long day. There are many restaurants located very close to this hotel. Also, located on a main road making getting to and from this location a breeze.
But the highlight of this location is the staff. Every employee we interacted with was just outstanding. From the very cheerful breakfast attendant, (Andrea, I think) who provided breakfasts to go with special treats, to the Manager, every request we had was met quickly and efficiently. We would not hesitate to stay at this location again.

Room Tip: Obviously, top floors are quieter.

Stayed here for one night only. Wouldn't stay again. I made my reservations a month before arriving and requested a room on an upper floor. This was done for one reason - to avoid noise - and where there is a pool, there can be a lot of noise. Was that request honored? No. Upon arrival we were put in a room on the bottom floor just up from the pool. A nine hour drive and then hours of non stop screaming and running in the hallways by a whole lot of kids. When they finally settled down we all got some sleep - that is until the early hours when the activity started up again right above our room. When checking out, the front desk was told about how uncomfortable the stay was and we were told that 'a bunch of kids came in so they put them ALL on the second floor'. Now, we all know what it's like to be kids. You will run and play and giggle and scream - the issue is not the kids - it's the poor management that booked a bunch of kids in and elected to put them on an upper floor instead of placing them all on the bottom floor near the pool. Not once did they acknowledge that we requested a room away from that area. The hotel did not appear full. We would have requested a room change but were exhausted and just didn't want to have to move - would I stay again? No. The room was clean but I can get a good room for a hundred bucks in a lot of other places. This was my first try at a Fairfield.

Room Tip: Get a room above the first floor. The pool is directly across from the lobby and any room close to t...

Our family was in town for an athletic event at the University of Nebraska. We appreciated how close the hotel is to the university and shopping/restaurants. The hotel is very clean and updated. The pool and hot tub were the perfect temperature and clean as well. We stay at many hotels throughout the year and the staff here are the friendliest EVER! They treat you like family. The free breakfast is more than just continental. The Greek yogurt, oatmeal and blueberry muffins really hit the spot. We will definitely stay here again!
