“Great game day atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013 via mobile

This place has a great game day atmosphere. The alumni band comes in to play Cornhusker marching band staples. When the weather is right the covered deck is a great place to relax while people watching in the revived Haymarket. The armadillo eggs and popcorn chicken are great game day tailgate choices.

“Good cajun for Nebraska”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

I ate here on a Sunday evening. It was not crowded at all. Our waitress was very good and received a healthy tip for her excellent service. I ordered the seafood boil and a cup of seafood gumbo. The gumbo was good but not as spicy or flavorful as I hoped. The seafood boil was good and as a expected. The guys I was with had the steak and the other had the deep fried gator bites. The person who had the steak said it was average and the other guy said the gator bites was good but nothing special.
If it was not so hot, we would of sat outside because the outside seating is very nice.

“Deck is nice, food is wanting”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

This was our final food stop on a weeklong business trip to Lincoln. We were seated on the deck, which is very nice -- a relaxing setting with attentive service. The beer selection was decent with local brews on tap, however the food was disappointing all around. I had a seafood jambalya which I understand is a stretch in Nebraska, but I thought mine was not the only disappointing fare. The jambalya sauce was pedestrian and most fo the seafood might have been thawed and frozen again. If you are looking for a relaxing place to sip on a brew and enjoy a Nebraskan evening this is a good option. If you are looking for real southern cuisine, I would look elsewhere.

“I love this place.”

No trip home is complete without sitting on the deck and having the eggplant boat of wonderfulness. I miss the atmosphere. And the always excellent service.

“Bread Pudding!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

I love coming to Lincoln and sitting on the terrace to eat the great Cajun food here. The staff is always on the top of their game, my waitress introduced herself and went above and beyond her duties, she tried to find something for me to do on a Sunday night. :-)
Now the real joy is the bread pudding desert- share it with at least two, it is wonderful and huge!
