Impressive murals and be sure to take the tour.
The tile on the floor and the murals tell many stories.

“Really interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

Have done a number of state house tours. This one ranks up there as one of the best. It's a very unique building and houses a very unique "one house" governmental system. Tours are on the hour whenever the building is open. Our guide was very knowledgeable and spoke with drama and wit. The tour lasted about an hour and included the main hall, the legislative chamber, the auditorium and the Supreme Court. After the tour, you can visit the upper gallery and then take the elevator to the 14 floor and go out on the observation decks for long distance views of the city. No fee is charged. Well worth an hour or two.

“A grand/ beautiful old Building.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

I had to speak at a budget hearing and did not really know where to go but in the center of the building they had an information both and they gave me great directions and the building is not that hard to get around anyway,

The halls are almost like a cross between a museum and architectural marvel! Fascinating things to look at from floors to ceilings!

The other part of this place is it is so accessible, not cumbersome security to fight your way through and not one hassles you for just walking around and gawking at the beauty.

If you every get a chance to see this wonderful treasure, do so!

“Architectural Wonder”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

The Capitol is architecturally spectacular with its fabulous mosaics. Take some time to really study and enjoy the artistic beauty. Reflect on how Nebraska functions with One House - the only Unicameral in the United States. Wouldn't miss it if you are visiting Lincoln, NE.
