“Sorry, wrong continent.......”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013 via mobile

Likely a great place as noted, but if you look for it in Lincoln, Nebraska, you will be looking for a very very long time! This is the second restaurant to get placed in Lincoln Nebraska instead of England. Go figure.......

“A disappointment”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2011

We opted for this tea room as it was tied to the Bailhouse Hotel, which we had heard was very good and seemed to have a nice quirky style. They got it wrong however. The waitress who wandered in from next door and was wearing flip flops and struggling to walk in a very long skirt, wasn't quirky, she was just untrained and overfriendly. The odd tea things weren't quirky either- they were cracked and dirty. The food took ages to arrive and when it did, it was disappointing. A pudding advertised as a chocolate cake had been underbaked and so had turned into a pool of chocolate sauce.
The garden setting could have been lovely, had there not been garish plastic children's toys everywhere. Indeed, there was a trampoline without a safety net in the middle of the set-up, crying out for a nasty accident. The only highlight was watching the four chickens, which were freely roving the garden as we waited for our tea and food. It led to an interesting discussion about the health and safety issue of having livestock roam an area intending to serve food to the public. If the trampline didn't do your kids in, then something caught from the chickens might have done!
Very disappointing.
