“Great Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013 via mobile

A great park with lots to see & do. An interesting nature center as well as fields of buffalo & elk. The park is plenty big for jogging or bicycling and hanging out by any of the ponds is beautifully tranquil. Also, the Pinewood Bowl is beautiful for musical and play productions!!

“Great for any person”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

This is a great park. It is large enough to bike around, find a private area for a picnic, playground equipment for the littles, and even a nature house. It's a great place to spend an afternoon.

“Beautiful Park”

A beautiful park in the middle of the city, you will feel you are at National Park. Beautiful landscaping, horse trails, and nature center. Plenty to keep you busy all day.

“Fun place to get out and explore”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

It is a large park on the southwest side of Lincoln, with many places to explore. Do a drive thru and find an area, and go walking. The west side of the park has a nature center with elk and bison. There is Pinewood Bowl that puts on concerts and plays in spring and summer, check web page for info as it is only occasionally. Great place for a picnic, children to run and play, nature walks and the like. lincoln.ne.gov/city/parks/naturecenter/

“Great place for birding young and old!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

They have the feeders setup near the nature center with a fence with openings so that young children (and some of us older folks as well) can get up close and personal to the birds at the feeders. We took the grand kids and saw Downy Woodpeckers, White-breasted Nuthatches, Red-winged Blackbirds, Goldfinches, Rose-breasted Grosbeaks to name a few. Then we wandered the trails and I spotted quite a few other birds. On the far side of the marsh area we had an amazing view of the buffalo in the buffalo pen next to the Nature Center.
