“Impressed!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

I'm going to give this a thorough breakdown of the entire hotel and amenities:

Room: two-room suite; very nice accommodations. I was by myself, but this could comfortably room a family of four. Decor was modern, bathroom was nice. Only complaint was the caulking in the shower-- it's a little moldy.

Fitness room: on the small side, but it gets the job done. I was, however, very disappointed they did not have any cleaning supplies to wipe down the equipment.

Pool: did not use, but it looked nice.

Breakfast: awesome! Hot buffet, plus they'll make omelets or pancakes.

Nines Restaurant: very good; had a delicious salad here for lunch.

Managers recpetion: never attended. However... People were very rowdy late into the night in the bar/atrium area one night. I could hear them when I was in the front of my room, but once I went in the back to sleep, it wasn't an issue.

Conference center: modern, clean; also it appears the hotel manages the catering for this as well. The catering was good.

Shuttle: hotel will shuttle only within a 3-mile radius. But they were friendly and it was free.

Transportation to/from airport: taxi is over $40 each way. Probably better to rent a car.

Customer service: very good. Every employee I encountered was nice and helpful.

Overall, for the price, there is a lot of added value in this hotel. I would stay here again.

We stay at Embassy Suites whenever we can. I have had really good luck with them....both of the Embassy Suites in Omaha are Excellent!! LaVista and Downtown.

Both Properties are impecably clean and the attention to detail is great. The food and beverage service is good in both places as well. The pool is better in LaVista, but the Downtown/Old Market is a better location for shopping and walking. There are some really cool shops within walking distance and some really fun restaurants and bars.

There is no shopping in LaVista area right by the hotel. If you are heading to Lincoln for football it is great. 45 minutes you are in the stadium. Cornhusker opponents stay there the night before games.

Two great hotels.......Enjoy.

Room Tip: We stayed on the second floor....perfect rooms.

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend. When we arrived the check in was quick, friendly and FAST!
Room was nice , beds were comfortable-- we used the pull out couch but had to call front desk 2 times for fresh linens for it. Couch was hard and needs to be replaced... but beds were super nice.
Decor was a little outdated-- orange carpet etc.

pool was clean but the shower in the pool area was full of bugs--- gross!! hot tub was only warm not hot and soothing after a long day of travel.

breakfast buffet was ok -- there was a huge line-- the lady behind the grill said she needed more help--- a guy came out to help but was flat out rude and irritated that he had to cook breakfast for the guests.. managers drinks and snacks as they call it in the evening were fine-- but it was jsut pretzels and schips-- seems like they could do a little more effort wise.

Thank you for taking the time to offer your comments on your stay. We have recently upgraded all bed linens for a fresh new look and appreciate your positive feedback on our guest rooms as well as our check in process. Your interaction with our breakfast staff members is not typical and I have raised your experience with our entire service team. I have also forwarded your comments to our maintenance team with regard to the cleanliness of the pool shower area and the temperature of the hot tub. Our goal is to make every aspect of our guests’ experience a positive one and your insight helps us address areas that need improvement. Thank you again for your feedback and I invite you to stay with us again in the near future!

We have stayed here several times and have been to several events that were being help here. The facilities are always super clean and the people are very helpful. The kids liked the pool, its sort of small, but the little ones have fun. The ballrooms are excellent for big company meetings and they have everything you need to pull off a great event. The free breakfast is another one of the reasons to stay here, they really have just about anything you would want for breakfast. And in the evening there is a free happy hour with lots to choose from. Its very enjoyable. The suite rooms are very spacious and always clean when we have been there.

The carpet was dirty and stained. The tub edging was dirty and stained! Cleanliness was definitely an issue! There were four staying in the room and not enough towel sets upon arrival nor replenished on the second day...no wash cloths at all after room service! We often stay in Embassy Suites! This stay was definitely a surprise and disappointing!

We wanted to stay at the Embassy Suites in downtown Omaha, but it was booked up, so we reluctantly chose this one instead. Turns out, it was super nice! The location is a little further out that we would have liked, but freeway access is easy and it didn't take that long to get into town. We enjoyed the happy hour and especially the breakfast. We also visited the bar for a late-night drink, which was fun. The room was updated, clean, quiet, and spacious, and it was a great value. What more could you want?
