Wide variety of breads! sticky buns w walnuts! humongous dessert case! imaginative soup & sandwiches for lunch! What's not to like?

“Nice restaurant, very good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

This is a nice little local restaurant -- great for lunch or a quick stop for coffee and dessert. They have a small menu but the choices are imaginative and well thought-out. They are very accommodating and will allow substitutions or even serve items that aren't on the menu if you ask. The best grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had!

“Amazing Find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Fresh, creative and unexpected food. Truly local. Meals are made for the day and have limited quantities so locals know to get there early. One of the best meals I have had anywhere. The environment is charming and very special.

“You can taste the freshness”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013 via mobile

This little restraunt opened up only a couple years ago, and has quickly become the understandable favorite in the surrounding area although only open for lunch (the bakery is open all day). The menu changes by day and season, as they buy from local farmers and bake their own bread and sweets! (Their baklava is perfect!) Everyone is friendly and service is prompt to anticipate your needs. I enjoyed the twist on old classics like lemon egg salad, or mediterranian tuna. But my favorite is croque monsouir with ham and brie, dipped in egg and fried up until melty. Prices for most entrees include side. This charming place is well worth the stop! :)

“Too rigid, too small, too expensive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

Almost everything there is premade. Minimal customization, substitution or deletions. The place is tiny and they often run out of things as they make only so much for the day and are done. Add to this they are very pricey for small midwestern town and I advise you look elsewhere. It isn't bad, it just isn't worth the hassle.
