“wonderfull experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

my husband and i have just had a lovely meal at the Bears Paw we opted for a main meal and sweet. We had the steak which was very well presented and remained piping hot until the end. The staff were very welcoming and sociable, happy and very helpful. The sweets were delightful. Although it was a little more than we usually pay it was worth every penny. There was a lovely fire and it had a nice cosy feeling. We were amazed at how many people were in for a tuesday evening, surely a sign of how good an eating place this is especially with its quite rural location.

“Lovely evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

I regularly use TripAdvisor prior to visiting restaurants and when booking holidays. I've never contributed a review before, but such was the standard of our visit this weekend I felt compelled to do so.

I cannot fault a thing - prompt and pleasant service and gorgeous food. Not a cheap evening, but worth every single penny. This is our favourite local restaurant by some distance.

“Always a favourite with us”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

We don't live far from here but it is always our first choice. Even midweek the car park is busy which I think is a good sign in the current climate. We have had more good experiences than bad and the steak and ale pie ticks all the boxes. There are good local beers and I always choose the Wallaby Ridge wine. It never disappoints. Although there are some regular items on the menu, it changes most days so we don't get bored. It is equally good for lunch as it is in the evening. The decor is lovely especially in front of the second fireplace down the stairs. This place will still be our favourite for a good long time. And I'd rather pay a pound or two extra and go out a little less often enjoying this sort of environment.

“lovely place to relax”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

Stayed for two nights with family and once again had a lovely experience.. The staff couldnt have been more helpful and pleasant. Rooms are amazing and the food on the wholw is excellent. Only small room for improvement would be a more varied veggie chioce on the menu. 100 % A STAY AT THE BEARS PAW.
