“Island Inn is Grand”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

Large clean rooms, recliner, table and chairs with large with a refrigerator. Packaged continental breakfast. But for the price of the room and where it's located you can eat somewhere else. The clerk gave us a great tip on where to eat dinner. Would go back.

Our room was spotless & huge. The staff was super friendly and the price was very affordable. The location was a plus since it was close to restaurants and shopping. The room was very spacious, even with a recliner, table and chairs, and a full size fridge. We were surprised it didn't have a coffee pot or microwave though. However, there was a microwave and coffee in the lobby area. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a very nice property, well taken care of. Has been refurbished nicely. Rooms are nice and big. Loved having an outside room, so much easier to load/unload a car. Was a quiet location. Everyone was very nice and friendly. Doesn't have coffee in room but is available in office. I would definitely stay here again.

My room was very clean and clearly updated. Newer AC, flat screen TV, full size fridge. Certainly a couple of steps up from the corporate Super 8 or Comfort Inn, which will charge at least $25 more for less quality.

I selected Island Inn because of Trip Advisor's ranking and reviews - but with the AAA $65/night (plus tax), I think this is a bit over priced. In comparison to our friends at the Rodeway (same week for a 7 night stay)- they had a $45/night - and breakfast - and a nice deck area for their meals. We were in town for an event at the state fair grounds and this was location very convenient. The rooms were clean. The internet access was good. Staff very nice - but as much as I love Trip Advisor - I would go to the Rodeway next time and save $20/night.

Room Tip: We were fine on the first floor - access to room from parking lot - but if you want a corridor room...

We had a double room, two good chairs, a round table, huge refrigerator with freezer (!). In the bathroom the tub/shower had a grab bar, large vanity with sink, a hair dryer, kleenex, and blue towels. The toilet was very low. There was no microwave or coffee, ice was available in the Lobby. It was fine.

This motel was GREAT!!! Even though we love our furry friends, this motel is no pet/no smoking and very quiet which made it smell as clean as it actually is. You can choose a room that backs up to your car for easy luggage loading or an upstairs room (off the interior hallway) for extra quiet. The owner was very accommodating (thank you Janet) and the staff was friendly and efficient (kudos to Debi, Linda & Angie). The light continental breakfast was just right and the coffee was much better than the ordinary motel fare. We highly recommend the Island Inn
