“Something woderfully different!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2012 via mobile

The atmosphere is stylish and modern, set in a nicely restored brick building downtown. The lunch menu is limited, but very well executed. Gourmet sandwiches, wraps and soups made from scratch with fresh, quality ingredients. My personal favorite is the corncob-smoked ham and cheese sandwich! I believehave they alsohave have somethings breakfast items too, such as quiche. They offer barrista-style coffees, smoothies, beer, wine and mixed drinks. At supper and evenings there are only appetizers available. The appetizers are a bit on the pricey side, in my opinion, but very good. Oh yeah, they also offer amazing homemade chocolates and cakes! Cool place to go! Highly recommended!

“The best coffee for hundreds of miles”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2012 via mobile

Single origin pour-overs and Intelligentsia beans roasted within the week mightn't be what you'd expect to find in central Nebraska, but here you will.

Well worth a stop by, with good sandwiches, salads and cakes for a light-lunch too.

Cocktails by night too, I hear, but haven't had a chance to try 'em.

“Perfect for light lunch, or just coffee with friends”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2012

We were visiting family in Grand Island in early March when they took us to The Chocolate Bar for lunch. Modern decor is inviting and stylish. The owners are a young couple who took time to chat with us about the business and their plans for the future. Lunch was delightful- a turkey/cranberry wrap with a marvelous tomato bisque. My husband had a panini- roast beef? I believe. We all had different espresso drinks and sampled each others. All in all, it was a fun, relaxing experience in a place I did not expect to see in Grand Island. Desserts looked tempting, but we passed on that opportunity as we are watching our diet!

“Very cool”

Very cool decor in a nicely restored building. Excellent coffee drinks. Light lunches. Transforms into a nice bar/coffee bar at night.
