“Sit at the Bar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2011

Great food, fun people in a beautiful Montana atmosphere complete with lake views in a rustic, yet elegant lodge setting. Our hint is to sit at the bar. Tell Ty or Chappy we sent you!

“Best meatloaf ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2011

If you are staying at The Lodge - or even if you aren't - eating at The Boat Club is worth it. They have a diverse menu - steaks, seafood, hamburgers, salads - you name it. There are really two restaurants in one. There is the bar side, with more of a bar-type menu, and the restaurant side, with more steaks and seafood. As I mentioned, they have the most incredible meatloaf. I believe it is made from beef tenderloin and has a tangy BBQ sauce glaze. The only issues I've had are seasonal. During non-peak season (Labor Day until Memorial Day), the restaurant is generally not too crazy. During peak season, however, they sometimes run out of things (including the meatloaf). To help manage that, they will often not allow people in the bar to order off of the main dining room menu (which includes the steaks). If you sit at the bar, however, they will let you order off of either menu.

“Definitely worth a visit, great location overlooking Whitefish Lake and good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2011

We had Tenderloin tips to start (which came with toasted bread and Camambert and Salad), followed by Bison steak (medium rare) came with mash potato and seasonal vegetables. With gratuity, game to $160

“Great food. Spectacular location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2011

We had light dinners twice during our stay at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake. Service was great, the wine list was very good, and the portions were generous. We look forward to returning.

“Are you kidding me?”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2011

After many years of dining out together, my husband & I agree that this was the worst meal we have ever had. And I don't just mean one of dinners - both were almost inedible. The ribs were cooked beyond recognition with no meat on the bones & the "special" fish of the night had a "chutney" more like a Happy Meal than part of dinner in a top class restaurant. Then there were the glacial pace of the service -- it's near Glacier National Park for a reason we suppose -- & the caterwauling of some woman with a guitar. The worst $95 we've ever wasted. The view was nice, but not worth the price.
