While not a glitzy place to stay we found the rooms and bed more than adequate. Comfortably furnished, and a quality place. If you are staying in West Yellowstone, give this place a try. It's only a few blocks from the west entrance to Yellowstone.

We were out of luck when we arived in West Yellowstone, we did not for see the need to make reservations, and all we could find were no-vacancy lites all over townand went into the Stagecoach just to see if they knew of any vacancys in town, and there was non.The super friendly desk clerk then got on the phone and started calling nearby places and found us a place 6 miles from town, but that was only for one nite, then the desk clerk said she had a room for us for the other 5 days we planned on being there. So we decided that if they were willing to find i a place when no one else would even look at us with out a smirk, we would be happy to return the next day.And when we saw our room, at a very resonable rate, we were glad we did. They did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. The staff is very knowledagle about Yellowstone, and the other sites around here to see, i would deffinatly go out of my way to stay there again!!!

I stayed at the Stage Coach Inn several years ago with friends and had great time. So when my husband and I saw a special on TV about snowmobiling through Yellowstone I decided to book a vacation (End of February) since he had never been. I called the hotel and was advised that they lowered their rates and to go on their web site to book, so I did. I got a room rate of $62.00 per night plus tax. When we arrived they put us in a room down some vacant corridor and the heat was not working. So we immediatly called the front desk to tell them. The girl said the maitnence man left for the day so she put us in another room on the other side of the building. This room had heat and was much, much nicer. When we checked-out we noticed the room rate was much higher. When we questioned the guy checking us out he said they upgraded us? I said they changed our room because there was no heat and I was never told the new room would be more money, why should we be penalized. So he said he would credit the difference back to our credit card. After he did that I looked at the bill again and the room rate was $71.00 per night I said that the bill was still not correct and this was not the per night rate I origionally had confirmed through their web site than showed him my confirmation with the $62.00 per night rate plus tax rate. He said the rate he had given us included tax, so at this point our transfer was waiting and we didn't agrue.
When we got home we looked over the bill and the rate he said included tax didn't and the credit he said he put through was never credited. so we were ripped-off. We are now disputting the charge with our credit card company. So if you go the the Stage Coach Inn or one of her sister properties WATCH YOUR BILL when you check-out. Other than that Yellowstone is beautiful and a must do. Also we would highly recommend Gusher Restaurant across the street from the Stage Coach for eats, their black angus burgers were awesome.

We booked our stay at the Stage Coach some months ago via the Internet. We visited in October 02.

The hotel was very clean and tidy and furnished in a style which is, not unexpectedly, heavily influenced by the flora and fauna of Yellowstone NP.

The rooms were very comfortable and were well serviced by the staff.

At the time of our visit (late October) the bar and the restaurant in the hotel were both closed however lists of other establishments which were open was provided by the front desk staff.

The hotel proved to be an excellent base for our short visit, and made a welcome (warm) retreat from the cold each evening.

When we next visit this part of the USA we will definately stay at this hotel again.
