“Disappointing! Basic accommodation, poor service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

We stayed for 2 nights in September 2013: 3 adults and two rooms. The beds were comfortable and the unit was quiet. The second room was spartan with no room around the bed, the bathroom was small with no fan. Furnishings were clean but dated. A month earlier when we booked it seemed to be among the few rooms available but on arrival several more modern motels had rooms available at similar prices - presumably tour block bookings not taken up. Compared to most breakfast-included offerings this one was minimal. Biggest complaint was that when our daughter phoned at 8 pm she was told we could not be reached and to call back the next day. Inexcusable! What if it was an emergency?

Small, but very clean rooms. Found the motel to be very quiet and in a great location, which is in very easy walking distance of downtown for restaurants, shopping, groceries, etc. We stayed 5 days in early Sept and found the traffic into and out of Yellowstone Nat Park to be relatively light. The staff is very friendly and helpful with info. Make sure to take the self guided auto tour of Earthquake Lake on HWY 287 just a few miles out of town. It's interesting to see first hand the effects of an earthquake.

I stayed here at the end of September on a trip to Yellowstone. Our room had two beds and very little space. The bathroom was small and had no fan. Accommodations are very basic - what you'd expect in a very budget motel - concrete walls, dated bed spreads, weak coffee, and packaged products for "breakfast." But the property was clean and was adequate for our needs. Everyone was friendly, and Mike was very helpful, especially when I had a dead battery on our last day. He charged it for me and even offered to come to the gas station if I needed a charge there. The price was okay, pretty good for overpriced West Yellowstone. I used the laundromat, and Mike had change readily available for that.

We stayed here three nights while visiting. Our room was small but very clean and quiet. Bed was quite comfortable. TV, internet, microwave, refrigerator, and laundry facilities. No phone in the room, which was inconvenient as we did not have cell phone coverage in the area. Overall a good value for the price.

12 cyclists stayed, all satisfied
Roons small, so heat easily
One of the few motels with a free breakfast (but if like us you are cycling, you'll need a bit more)
OK, not the plushest but check the price

An older motel but very economical. The rooms were spotless. The thing that makes this place great are the owners. They are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very average for an older motel. Don't however judge a book by its cover. This motel is certainly worth a good look if you are in to saving a few dollars and want a good night's sleep.

We agree with the reviews of the motel--"don't be fooled by the exterior, small but cozy, not fancy but super clean, comfortable king bed, priced great for the location......". The owners were super helpful and the location is walking distance to downtown shops in West Yellowstone. We would definitely stay at the hotel again. Susan and James from Texas
