“One Horse Motel - West Yellowstone, Montana”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

A good motel for the price. Clean. Newly-remodeled bathroom. Friendly, helpful office personnel. A lot cheaper than the other motels in West Yellowstone and Yellowstone National Park, which is important on an extended trip. Within walking distance of many restaurants and the shopping district.

Room Tip: parking spaces a little narrow

We stayed two nights at the One Horse on visit to Yellowstone National Park. The staff was friendly and the king room large and comfortable. The room was clean and quite and we felt we got a good value for our money. We would definitely stay here again.

We got into West Yellowstone late, but I was happy to find our room so lovely, clean and welcoming. The bed was super comfortable, as were the pillows. Plenty of space and bathroom was clean (I'm a sucker for tiled floors.) They also provide basic little amenities. Lots of towels, nice, white and fluffy. We were able to park in front of our door, but I could see how they may run out of spaces. It probably could be loud if people stayed out front in the chairs and chatted, but all our folks retired to their rooms.
Coffee, tea and some breakfast bars are provided in the morning. Ice machine was helpful.
Price was ok, considering in-park prices, but still right around $100. $89, but total of $99 with taxes.
We ate at the Beartooth BBQ late. It was good if you like BB! places. It was a bit too unhealthy for my tummy. Didn't have a chance to look around the shops. Stayed at Old Faithful Inn the next day. Despite loving it, we got in so late and left so early that staying there didn't pay off in the time we spent there. In retrospect, I'd stay at Inn instead to save the drive time.

We stayed two nights at the One Horse. The staff was very friendly, our kingsize room was huge with lots of room, desk, refrigerator, microwave. A long shelf in the bathroom was convenient for our toiletries. Large wood luggage holder was perfect for both of our bags and not having to unpack. A/C worked perfect and also a ceiling fan & light. Wifi worked perfectly and new, flatscreen TV. We really only needed a place to sleep as we headed out to the park early both days.
I would stay there again if visit Yellowstone in the future.

We enjoyed our stay at the One Horse. Our host was pleasant and helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable, parking was right in front of the room and easy. The hotel is just outside of the crowds and across from the city park. A perfect place to rest after enjoying Yellowstone!

Nothing fancy about this motel but there are lots of llittle extras that made it a great stop before going into Yellowstone National Park. Friendly desk clerk. Clean room, nice assortment of shampoo, etc. Even toothpaste. Microwave, refrig, parking at door. Coffee and small breakfast snacks in lobby. Price about half of Best Western right next door. It was a good choice for an extended trip when price makes a difference.

We stayed here for 1 night in early September 2012 in a room with 2 double beds for about $125. The room was clean but basic and on the small side with an old tv but had a fridge & micro. We always choose the mom & pop type motels with parking at the door, and they have that here. But the parking is limited & cramped and you may have to park on the street. We had stayed here 2 years ago and there are new owners now who have kept the motel pretty much the same. No real negatives, but no real positives either. It was just okay. Not as reasonably priced as others motels with higher ratings. Would stay again, but only if we weren't able to reserve one of the other higher rated motels.
