“Loved being Goldilocks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

A lovely lodge with an interesting history . . . take time to read the information posted around the hotel lobby. Very comfortable stay. We had room 212, a large suite with a bed and table and chairs in the main room, a separate bedroom with a king bed and a small log cabin front in a nook with two beds, one child size, one bath. (And a shelf with 3 bowls, a wooden spoon and a box of Oatmeal, all fitting the Three Bear theme.) One bathroom but a sink outside. Would be great for a family. hOf course the location is superb so near the entry to Yellowstone Park and the Wolf and Grizzly Discovery Center. Had a good breakfast, very reasonable priced, in their restaurant.

Nice spot for larger families! My 3 kids were so happy to see a big room (3 queens) after being squished in one hotel room form several nights. Nice pool and hot tub , front staff were very helpful. Great breakfast in restaurant (give coupons at check-in so its practically free). It's very close to West entrance of Yellowstone so easy in/out. Don't miss the Grizzly & Wolf Center in W. Yellowstone.

From the outside it looks like a cheap motel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the front desk staff were pleasant, which was nice. The location is great for day trips to Yellowstone. The restaurant is OK food is average, service is SLOW, servings are huge, but salad bar is dissapointing!

Three Bear Lodge was about a 1/4 of a mile to Yellowstone Park. It was located near the shopping area in town. Rooms comfortable and clean. The buses for the park tours originated at the Lodge. Everything was very convenient.

This Inn is right downtown. Updated.clean and reasonable. Located on main road into Yellowstone Park west entrance. Staff could have been friendlier, but overall they were nice.
Two BR unit has one bath in bedroom not between BR's. Inconvient for friends. OK for families(maybe).
Nothing special except for location.

Room Tip: See above re 2BR unit

Booked this on line early and got a great rate for a double room. Spent two days here. Very convenient to everything. West entrance to Yellowstone less than a quarter mile away. One issue was one of the rooms was very dark because it opened into a hallway so we were unable to open the curtains. The second night of our stay there was a sound like someone taking a shower right in our room it went on for over 45 minutes then stopped. Not sure what it was as there was no room above us. The restaurant attached has very good food. The breakfast staff was very accommodating, the evening staff not so much. Asked to share a meal with a plate charge and was told they discouraged meal sharing, consequently ordered two meals and wasted a lot of food. Really, I would have preferred paying and additional charge and not throwing away all that food!

The lodge had been recommended to us by our son who had stayed there in the past and it fit our needs perfectly. We spent 4 nights here over labor day weekend and could only get a room in the motel part even tho everyone talks about the rooms being remodeled they are not what I would call holiday inn quality but they were clean and comfortable. There is also a Three Bear restaurant where we ate every morning and they gave us $3 discount coupons to use every day, the food was very good and with the coupons was a really good bargain as the food was reasonably priced even before the coupons. You can also book day trips thru the Lodge so you don't have to do the driving which was great and the tour guides were very good and it included lunch. We would not hesitate to stay here again if return trip to Yellowstone. This was a great trip and we even got see a Black Bear!

Room Tip: There are no elevators in the Lodge so may want to stay in motel portion on ground floor.
