On St we rented 9 Sleds for a full day spending nearly $2000 at this resort. We arrived on time however the help was NOT very helpful and we didnt even get on the trail untill 10:30am ! They briefed us on an overview of the Artic Cat 600 and 800 but left out that they have had ALOT of problems with them. 3 of 9 sleds broke down and had to be left on the trail. The staff was less than sympathetic, rude and uncaring that our day trip was a fiassco, they offered no apologies or even a small token of reimbursment

Room Tip: go to the Stagecoach.

We are very sorry for your bad experience with us. We pride ourselves in providing excellent customer service. One issue common to snowmobile riding is that the snowmobiles are prone to breakdowns. We do everything we can to fix or replace breakdowns quickly as possible so our customers can get back on the trails and enjoy our beautiful area. We regret that your breakdown was not handled in the timely manner you wanted.
We have discussed the issue with our department managers, specifically our snowmobile operations, to be sure these types of issues do not happen again.
We understand that you may not come back to us again, and are sorry for that, but do hope that you will continue to visit West Yellowstone.

The Three Bear Lodge was a nice stay. We stayed in the lodge portion, not the motel, and from what we could see, you do not want to stay in the motel (very grungy looking). However, our room was large and clean. It was very nice. It came with a microwave and mini fridge, which was nice. The attached restaurant was a little high priced, and the food was not great, but the service there was great. The pool area was small. We did not go down because it was extremely small and a little dirty looking. Ample parking very close by. All in all though, the room was nice, the hotel was good, and if we went back to Yellowstone, I would consider staying here again.

Had a fantastic winter trip. Three bear lodge was a very nice, clean place.. Girls at front desk were extremely nice and helpful with all aspects of the trip beginning to end. Bought the package w snow coach tour and snowmobiles. Excellent value and great tours on both. The restaurant was very nice w good friendly service. Great location to all shops. I would definitely recommend this to everybody.

Room Tip: The lodge is newer and very nice w hot tubs

Went for some Yellowstone and state park snowmobiling for a week and the Three Bear Lodge was a great choice. They have all-in-one packages for not only the lodge rooms, but they have their own restaurant and their own snow mobile rentals too. The hand towels they offer for the use of the hot tubs could use a size increase though.

We stayed here in October with our 2 kids and loved it. We stayed in the main lodge and our room was huge, I'm not sure the outer motel rooms would be as big. The staff was great and we enjoyed the location. We spent two days in Yellowstone, then drove through to Jackson, WY. Fall is a great time to visit as the park is empty and so was the hotel.

Room Tip: Second floor has no elevator, but the lodge is the place to be!

If you are looking for a great place to take the family and see some exceptional natural wonders, Yellowstone NP is the place. If you want a great, fun place to stay that it convenient to Yellowstone, Three Bear Lodge is the place. You can drive from the hotel to the park entrance in under a minute. An excellent location.
The best part is the hotel it's self. The room we stayed in was the Three Bears room on the second floor of the front of the hotel. It has a balcony with a view of the old city hall and then trees as far as you can see. The room is broken into three separate sleeping areas. There is a private room with a door and a king bed. In the main room there is along with a full dining table, a queen bed (might be a king). The best spot is the nook they took the time to make look like a small log cabin. This is the three bears house. In it there is a twin bed and a smaller bed (Baby Bears Bed). The kids fought to see who would stay in there. We reached a compromise.
There is a pool that is in a courtyard like area along with two hot tubs. The kids had a ton of fun in the pool in the evenings.
The staff was nice and accommodating. They had a wealth of knowledge on the area and recommended many fine places to eat and shop. Everything in town was within walking distance including the grocery store. There was a small fridge in the room to hold some necessities if you need them.
Overall we loved the stay there. It was a little pricy but getting one of the Three Bears rooms and the extra space was sooo worth it. The one on the front of the building appears to be better.

Room Tip: The front side of the Hotel "Three Bears" room is the best.

Jumping directly into the Pros and Cons

Pros:
Very good location
Friendly staff
Free Ice (offered by almost all the hotels, but mentioning since you would need it)
Great rooms (huge bedroom compared to the average hotel)
All amenities (Eateries/Gas station) are close by and more importantly the west entrance is very close.

Cons:
In September 2011, there was some construction going on next to this place, so a bit noisy in the mornings
Cost - we stayed here only since we couldn't book any other hotel.
