“Always an interesting visit at the GWDC!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2014

This is a very interesting place and our children love it. We could spend much time watching the wolves and bears. This place isn't like a zoo & you can tell the staff really tries to keep these animals as wild & natural as possible. The staff seems to have a passion for what they do which is infectious.

“very educational”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2014

the staff at the center has done a very good job making this an educational experience for all ages. There aren't many places you can be within a few yards of grizzlies and wolves. The naturalist was knowledgeable and patient, all in all a very good experience

“Wonderful way to see wolves and Grizzlies.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2014

This was a highlight of our trip to Yellowstone and was right across the street from our hotel (Grey Wolf Inn). Visited with my daughter on a frigid day in January, but the bears were very playful and we were able to take awesome video of their wrestling match. Also, magnificent views of the wolves from less than 30 ft away. We also learned a lot about them from the extensive exhibits. It's wonderful to be able to see these magnificent animals in a safe environment.

“Interesting exhibits”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2014

We visited in winter, but the bears were not hibernating so we were able to see several grizzly bears and 3 or 4 wolves (the wolves were all sleeping the whole time we were there!). I think the most interesting thing about the live animals is when they let the bears out (they change the bears that are out about once every 30-40 minutes). When they do that, they put food in lots of 'hiding places' and it is kind of entertaining to watch the bears look for it. I was actually more impressed with the exhibits they had which explain conservation, bear/human interactions, and bears natural habitats and habits. Entrance fee is good for two days, we actually saw all we wanted to in a couple of hours. Staff was knowledgeable about the different bears and their history and personality which was interesting.

“Wolves and Bears up close”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2014

This is the most amazing place - an opportunity to see these wonderful creatures up close, watch them interact and find out about their lives. The staff at the Center are wonderful, knowledgeable and friendly. I've been there four times now and I'm from Australia.
