“Mike is the one to ask for!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2014

We went into the park on March 5th, a group of 7 from Boston, NH and Atlanta. Mike is a fabulous guide. Very funny and friendly. The Irish gift of conversation that we all appreciated mixed with a long historical knowledge of the park that I think would be tough to find. We were the last coach out of the park, and were able to see spots that Mike knew about that perhaps others missed. A winter tour is recommended and Mike will make the most of it for your group! Good time had by all.

“Winter Bombardier”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

We had a fabulous and informative tour with our guide John in a Bombardier. He is very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and helped us spot many animals and birds. Our teens enjoyed the adventure and the playfulness of his conversations as well as the information. He kept us going at the perfect pace.
Great job.

“Great snowcoach!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2014

the only coach to leave out of West Yellowstone worth taking..... Guides are friendly and very knowledgeable.... Have been riding with Alpen every winter since 2007....Usually take 2 trips a season.... This last trip my only complaint was (and also my co-riders felt the same) our guide was in a really big hurry to get back to base on the way home.... We were not late and were back in our hotel by 4:45 pm... We did not stop to see an eagle by the river or the elks drinking by the river... I really like Alpen.. Our guide did not offer to tour us around Old Faithful and just told us to be back at the coach by a certain time.... I have done the trip to Old Faithful 7 or more times and the guide usually wants to show us some stuff..It was ok with me but first timers probably would have enjoyed it..... all in all the trips on Alpen Are Awesome...

“Awesome day!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014

What a great way to experience Yellowstone in the winter! Our guide Drew was great- knowledgeable about the park and the wildlife, stopped often for picture taking and made our experience one to remember forever! We saw tons of wildlife- Bison, Elk, Bald Eagles, the elusive Bobcat, coyotes, fox, not to mention all the wonderful geothermic sites of Yellowstone. Highly recommend this company!!! In our opinion, they are THE only way to go! The snow coaches are just the right size for comfort, maneuverability and tour guiding- other companies had larger vehicles that got stuck in the snow and definitely would be less "intimate". Thanks Drew!

“Best way to see the park!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2014

Had an excellent tour! The little red coaches are a valuable part of the park history, and the cost was great. Ted in the office helped us make the reservation, and jack was our tour guide. Both were extremely knowledgable, made for an unforgettable trip. Go Alpen Guides!
