Star-filled sky and peaceful water flowing outside your door; the cabins at KRO couldn't be in a more beautiful setting! Robert and Jeanie are great hosts and couldn't have taken better care of us. The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable. Kayaking Lake Creek and Bull Lake from the cabin was so enjoyable, especially when the River Otters joined us! It's a great place for couples or families/friends.

These cabins are worth at least double what it costs to stay right on their private water. We liked them so much we decided to spend a fourth night instead of going somewhere else. Imagine casting a dry fly right up to an over hanging bank and WATCH the cutthroat trout sip your fly as if they had done it a thousand times before.

We explored almost the entire ranch during morning or early evening hikes with deer and wildlife everywhere. The first spot I fished had an eagle sitting across the stream in the highest tree just watching me fish.

We also spent a day floating the Kootenai with Robert and boy does he know the river!!! It is a huge river and if you didn't have a guide it would be very difficult to fish. We were served a shoreline lunch that hit all of the right buttons. Make sure you eat the cookies!!!He also suggested several other places to fish that we would have never known about without his suggestions.

If you don't plan to spend at least a couple of nights at the cabins you will certainly miss out why Montana is such a magical place. I can't wait until next summer when I can again come to this little bit of paradise. I also can imagine how much fun cross country skiing would be over all of the ranch property.

Thanks to the Winstrom's for being such great stewards of my new found piece of paradise..

Thanks

Hooper.

Room Tip: Ask for cabin 3 if you want to be closest to the river. You can't go wrong with any of the 3 ca...

Spent the day on the river with Robert and it was amazing. Mid day we stopped for lunch and it was over the top. Had some of the best cookies ever. That you guys for the hospitality! We will see you again soon.

Do contact these fine folks for a good time in a beautiful area. The scenery alone is worth it but the cabins are spacious and beautiful. We went last year and got married at one of their cabins. We did not take advantage of other services they offer but as soon as we left we wanted to go back. If you are looking for a special vacation in a beautiful area filled with mother nature and Great people give KRO a call. You will not be dissapointed.

Outstanding guide, Robert Winstrom put on the fish. All you need to bring is the desire to hookup on fish. Robert took care of all our needs. Thanks Robert for a great productive float. We didn't stay at the cabins. This was a one day float trip. We must have caught 30 or more fish.

The cabin was very modern and absolutely spotless...and in the middle of the wilderness. The back porch gave a magnificent view of the mountains and was a great place to sip my morning coffee while listening to the trout stream bubble. What you read here is absolutely true. It is great. If you like hiking, there are hiking guides in the bookcase, but also stop at the Forest Service office in Libby and get their free trail guides. Get some topo maps if you want to go hiking. The cabin has complete linens, dishes, silverware and utensils, so just bring food and toys. The grill is gas, so you don't need charcoal. If any of you "woodsy" folks want to introduce your "city" friends to the great outdoors, this is the best place to start.

I WILL be back!

Room Tip: Cabin 3 has wireless. Cabin 2 has the best back view. Cabin 1 has a small dock in a wide part of t...

I stayed in Cabin 3, and it was absolutely perfect. The scenery off of the back patio is great, with a private creek, a great view of the cabinet mountains and no other houses or people. It was very clean, comfortable and sported several extras including a gas grill. The guy who owns the place is extremely nice and helpful. Overall it was the perfect venue to acclimate my wife to the great outdoors.

Room Tip: Cabin 1 is all by itself and has a dock on the creek. Cabin 2 and 3 are somewhat close, but divided...
