Along with a great room, you get a proprietor that is full of knowledge that he is ready to share with you. Very accommodating and interesting to talk to!

The motel was a perfectly fine no-frills place for the night on a long road trip. Clean, quiet, friendly staff, decent enough breakfast (excellent breads), easy walking distance to the tiny town centre. We were there on a Saturday night and we were surprised at how early the restaurants closed and we were lucky to get in as the last customers of the one we chose (recommended by the hotel). Other than the fancy historic hotel in town, there is not much happening in this tiny town, but for our purposes it was all we needed. I'd stay again for sure if a future trip took me through there.

We arrived in Three Forks in the evening at about 8. Very few dining options in this town, all seemed to be closed except the bars. The room was very basic but clean and comfortable. Still, $90+ seemed a bit much. The staff was very friendly and informative about things to do in the area. I would probably opt to stay in a different town the time I go through MT, but this is a good hotel if you're in Three Forks.

Our stay was just what I expected for a budget motel. The room was clean and the beds were fine. Free Wifi worked well and the continental breakfast was not bad at all. The owner was very friendly and offered some good advice on routes to take for the rest of our journey and even gave us some extra towels to take with us (we were on motorcycles) without us even asking for them. There is nothing fancy about the motel, but for the price I wasn't expecting anything more than a clean room and a decent bed, which is what we found. The breakfast area is sort of nice too, as it was good sized with enough seating. It was nice to chat with the other guests and the motel owner over a cup of coffee and muffin.

I'd stay here again if we were passing through town.

Previous reviews were very positive and I expected more. It's an ordinary roadside motel with an uninspired continental breakfast (we opted for a downtown cafe instead). The service was friendly but not unusually so. The room was plain, undecorated, with few amenities and an old tv. It was comfortable enough, but in the middle of the night the nearby fire station alarm went off and blasted through our closed window.
There aren't many other choices (there is one fancy historical hotel in town), so this is acceptable, but I wouldn't agree that it's as special as others have said.

My mother, my aunt and I stayed here Sept 2010. Great place, quiet, comfortable and I loved the black lab that was in the office the next morning. Great breakfast too!

We were traveling from Washington state to Iowa and back. Stayed here because of the reviews on Trip Advisor. What a pleasant experience. This is a charming little town near the headwaters of the Missouri River. The room was really clean, even the TV remote. The continental breakfast consisted of coffee, sweet rolls, muffins, and breads. Nothing special, but the conversation with the owners and local old-timers was wonderful. Some of the old-timers in town come to the motel for coffee every morning. They and the owners were delightful to visit with and they offered many suggestions about the area and attractions along our route that we should see. As we were traveling back to Washington, we again had the opportunity to stay at the Broken Spur and of course received the same curteous and personable treatment. I would stay here anytime I'm in the area. The room had a queen bed, recliner, table, TV, and was spotless. Better than any chain motel I have stayed at.
