“Delicious breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

We came in for breakfast as a second choice after another restaurant was too crowded, but this place was just as good, if not better! I had homemade granola with yogurt, and my husband had a spicy potato hash, and both were great. They also have amazing homemade bread, and service was quick and friendly.

“Great Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

I had the special of the day, a "stew soup" and ham and cheese. Although the stew could have used more carrots they did not skimp on meat. The sandwich was loaded with ham. That said, the price could have been a few dollars less but it is in a tourist area.

“Homestyle Breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

Late in the season their offerings are limited. My issue was if they were out of something, you were out of luck - no substitutions. Going in the early season may be the best bet.

“Great food in tiny St. Mary MT”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2012

We spent a couple nights in Saint Mary and ate a late lunch at Johnson's Cafe on the recommendation of an Inn Keeper in Waterton Lakes. We both had sloppy joes with beef & barley soup which was just what we needed before hitting the tail for a long hike. Good sized portions of tasty feed in an interesting western atmosphere. We also ate at Two Sisters down the highway and have to recommend Johnson's Cafe if you want good wholesome food.

“Great stop for soup or full meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

Sunday the special is the fried chicken. It is served family style and the price a little more reasonable than regular times. Served with soup, homemade bread, slaw and mashed potatoes. Pretty good homecooking. We also stopped during lunch and the soup and sandwich special was reasonable and very filling. Nice staff also.
