My husband ordered the wild boar special with spaghetti squash over beet greens. He is still raving about this meal, although he is convinced it was lamb on his plate rather than wild boar. He also enjoyed the local brewery beer custom brewed for this restaurant, but you'll have to ask your server (he can't remember the name).
I asked for a variation from the menu by substituting blackened shrimp for beef skewers because I'm not much of a beef eater. The server gave me a puzzled look and responded with "that sounds good, I'm going to try that!"
The clam chowder was better than any we tried on the East coast.
The menu had wine pairing suggestions for every item. The dim lighting created a nice ambience to enjoy our meal. We would come back here in a heartbeat!

Red Lodge Ales is our local brewery. They brew a Scottish ale that we call "Telemark Ale" and it often makes a great pairing with the specialty games dishes like the wild boar you enjoyed during your visit. With a kitchen stocked full of interesting ingredients, we're always willing to accommodate special requests whenever possible and it sounds like we were able to make you (and your server) happy with those special shrimp skewers.
