“Awesome - Be Sure to See "Muppet" Too!”

Such a beautiful and peaceful setting. Breakfasts are outstanding (thanks Brady). Rooms are immaculate, beds are comfortable. We loved our visit and if we are ever in the area again, this is where we will stay - no doubt about it.

Always our last stop before back trip in France...
Diner the first evening is a not to miss and breakfast are always a delight.
This year we were in the Rose room, romantic.
You can hike morning or evening and you are almost sure to see deers...

Room Tip: in the main lodge is better, for us

The Blue Mountain Bed & Breakfast, located on a hillside just outside downtown Missoula, is a perfect place to base yourself for visiting Missoula and the surrounding area. From the deck (resplendent with hummingbirds buzzing around numerous feeders), you can have breakfast and gaze out over the valley and across the way to the Sapphire Mountains. The rooms were handsome, spotless, interesting, and the proprietor's breakfasts were delicious and different - asparagus gratin one morning, excellent scones, locally-raised bacon. I can recommend staying here without a second thought (and would stay here again should I ever travel to Missoula in the future).

My Sister, Brother and I stayed 2 nights at the Blue Mountain B & B on a recent road trip through the North West. Brady was truly knowledgeable of the area and made a most delectable breakfast each morning which we enjoyed on the back deck by the waterfall feature and garden. My sister & I walked the grounds surrounding the main house and enjoyed dinner on our private deck overlooking the valley each evening, where we were able to catch some beautiful sunsets each night with a cup of hot tea we made in the fully stocked snack area downstairs. Our room was very comfortable and welcoming in all its amenities. Thank you so much Brady, it was great!!

After being turned away at the Canadian border we were scrambling to cancel Canadian reservations and make new last minute arrangements in Montana. Having spent about 12 hours in Missoula on our way to Glacier we were interested in returning. On a Saturday afternoon, via a google search, we found Blue Mountain Bed and Breakfast in Missoula. Frantically dialing the phone with crossed fingers, Brady answered our call AND had one room available . . . we were booked. AND the best was yet to come.

Upon our arrival and seeing the room, the BnB, the view etc. etc. etc. we thought we had died and gone to heaven. Then breakfast time arrived . . . OMG! Seriously, we've stayed at BnB throughout the US and in Italy and have never enjoyed a stay more than we enjoyed our time at Blue Mountain. We actually extended our stay with Blue Mountain. Each morning it was such a treat to see what delicious surprise Brady had cooked up for breakfast. He is so creative with the dishes he serves and the food is amazing. I want to see Brady compete on Chopped :)
We're already talking about when we can return to Blue Mountain BnB for another visit!
Grazie mille Brady and Elaine!

Brady was a wonderful host and full of valuable information about things to do and see in the area. He was born and raised here! Delicious, large and unique breakfasts. Nicely decorated rooms and very comfortable bed. No tv, but lots of movies to watch in your room on a small player or on the lodge's big screen. It's hard to see in the photos but there is a main highway below the B&B which is situated on a steep hillside. Constant traffic noise when sitting on the deck or with your windows open. There is a back sitting area by a koi pond with a garden waterfall that is quieter.

We hiked in Glacier National Park for a week and were able to stay an additional week to explore the western side of Montana. En route to Helena, we took a chance to stop in Missoula to see the historic exhibits at Fort Missoula. We didn't want to stay in a "box" motel so we went to the library and did a websearch for B&B's in Missoula. The Blue Mountain seemed about right and we were not disappointed. Host Brady was most accommodating, and we were able to get a room. But....it was more than a room. What a great experience. From the comfortable room overlooking the Missoula valley, to the history book which explained all the heirlooms in the room, to the wonderful breakfast, and the great dining suggestions.....this is the place to stay in Missoula. The grounds with views, the private deck areas, the mountain stream fountain, all made for a relaxing experience. What a find!

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the valley.
