“Lovely place to stay in Missoula”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

My son had an outdoor wedding here and we stayed for two days. The beds are extremely comfortable, it was very clean and the breakfasts were delicious and usually had a unique twist to them. They make the best scones I have ever tasted!

The couple who run the B&B were very nice and extremely helpful: they helped get a spot off my dress shirt, were able to mend a toasting glass the day of the wedding and did many little things to help that all made the wedding day one I will always remember.

The grounds are lovely and the house is a local landmark that has been perfectly restored. I have stayed at all of the better hotels in Missoula and when I return, I will stay here if a room is available. They only have 4 rooms, ours was the Garden Room, and we loved the view of the gardens in the back yard.

Room Tip: They only have 4 rooms and all are nice.

My husband & I stayed here on an overnight. The accomodations were charming & delightful and the hosts were so amiable and welcoming. The bed in the master suite was sooo comfy and the warm scones n the morning brought to your room followed by a delectable homemade breakfast in the dining room were first rate. We commented to the hosts before leaving their place should be featured on HGTV!

Arguably the best and cutest B&B anywhere. Lovingly restored down to minute details. Proprietors Tom and Nancy live on the premises and are most gracious. My wife surprised me with the romantic package, which included wine, chocolate, flowers ... and a massage! Breakfast was a delight, atypical and tasty.

Room Tip: The master suite is a bargain.

Gibson Mansion was an amazing place to stay. Tom and Nancy did a terrific job catering to my wife's food allergies and came up with some delicious breakfasts for her. We could tell that they did some research to make sure she had a wonderful experience. This was our first time to Missoula and they gave us some great recommendations on local eateries and attractions. The rooms were wonderfully furnished and very comfortable. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast!

We come to Missoula just to stay here! Best place to stay in Montana, Idaho or eastern Washington. Period.

We also were married here in 2009 and the place only gets more beautiful. Every time we come back they have somehow found a way to improve what already was wonderful.

No matter how long you stay here, you'll want to stay longer. Innkeepers Tom and Nancy do such a tremendous job making you comfortable in this ridiculously beautiful mansion (and cooking up some excellent breakfasts) that you'll be considering moving to Missoula before long. They've done a remarkable job restoring and maintaining the building, from the detailed woodwork to the stained glass windows, as well as keeping a very inviting garden. The rooms are spacious and extraordinarily comfortable. Simply put, you cannot go wrong by staying here.

Others have raved about this property so I will just comment on what particularly struck us.
We stayed for one night in September on a driving holiday.
The property is beautiful. The building is in superb condition, tastefully decorated & filled with hand picked period furniture. It is set in glorious flower filled gardens with multiple gazebos & sitting places. We had the Master Suite which has its own enormous balcony area with table & chairs & 2 seater glider. The room itself is huge with a gigantic comfortable bed. We agreed it was one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in.
What makes this place unique is the attitude of the owners. They have genuinely tried to anticipate the needs of their guests & to cater for them. Tom showed us the property & explained what was available & where everything was. They have a fully stocked fridge for guest use including soft drinks & even beer! Tea, coffee, snacks are all available for guests at any time. They have gathered together menus for local restaurants & are keen to help you make the right dining choice.
I cannot find anything to fault this property. Our room had a shower, not a bath, which might not suit some people but otherwise I would recommend it to anyone.
