We had low expectations of finding good food in Miles City based on reviews we had read of other restaurants. But this place was a welcome surprise... and we are pretty picky when it comes to our food and wine. Do not be put off by the exterior: a peach painted building with a (temporary?) plastic sign. The interior is like a real supper club. Comfortable leather armchairs, good quality table cloths, subtle lighting, wine glasses on the table, plinky plonk music in the background and a courteous and professional welcome. The menu is wide and eclectic but, again, do not think that this means "jack of all trades master of none". Without exception, everything we ordered was made from super fresh ingredients, and was cooked to perfection. We had an italian flatbread and a caprese salad to start, both of which were full of flavour and the flatbread was so stunning that we ordered a second to take with us for lunch the following day. Our entrees of tilapia coated in parmesan, and cedar plank salmon were tender and beautifully seasoned, and the sides were also superb. We didn't try the steaks or prime rib, but saw other tables with steak, which looked and smelled delicious. There is a small, but well-selected and reasonably priced wine list, including wines by the bottle and by the glass, and a cocktail list. Our server was attentive and eager to please, and we also had a great chat with the owners, Patrick (the chef) and Louise (front of house), who are really "good sorts" with a fantastic attitude. All in all, a great evening out in a town which doesn't give the impression of having such high quality establishments in abundance.
