we ran across the Lumberjack salloon on a Harley trip across LoLo pass and the scenic Montana hwy 12 along the Lochsa River. the lodge was impressive and rustic Montana. We enjoyed a drink and decided to return with the family with our atvs for vacation. the location is great, outdoor activities abundant, but we were less thank impressed by the accomodations. they have 3-4 small cabins and one large cabin that would occupy our big family. the large cabin advertised as a full kitchen and when we arrived with all our food and planned meals we found that the kitchen was empty. not 1 thing provided. not a pot, a pan, dishes, nothing. we had to drive to town to get all needs supplies which cost us plenty. the cabin which was a trailer was very dated and broken down. we paid $175.00 per night and were very unhappy with it. i do have to say the manager was sympathetic and refunded $25 each night to make it right. the resort has alot of potential and if they upgrade their cabins we will return. the salloon had wonderful service. there is a common fire pit but individual fire rings at each cabin would be nice for families because the common fire pit is by the bar.
