“Such a Great Place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

This was such a great breath of fresh air after staying at the Days Inn in Lolo. My husband and I along with our best friends (husband and wife) went on a 3 night vacation to spend with not only each other but family that live there. This place is beautiful, relaxing, and very rustic. Rooms were gorgeous and very log cabin like. The place is kept rustic no Wifi or cable. Wifi is available in the bar next door. The soaking tubs were great! Wish they got a little hotter tho, I like my water hot. :) Over all fantastic stay, they treated us like family, breakfast wasn't too shabby either. Will go to this place again, will bring the kids next time as well, maybe book a couple rooms and do the whole family thing! :) Thank you Lolo Lodge!

Room Tip: Rooms were all good! Walls are well insulated cannot hear neighboring rooms very well! Excellent!

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We do offer Wireless Internet in the lobby that you can use for about 15 minutes, we have to keep it at a minimum since we do have unlimited ourselves. We also offer free long distance calls in the lobby since we are not equipped with cell service. Our natural hot pools come out of the mountain at a relaxing 101 degrees which is designed for you to soak in them for an hour or so, however we can heat them up to 104 if you would like. Hope to see you soon.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. We brought our 17 year old daughter and 2 of her friends so the 5 of us shared the large 1 room with 2 comfy Queen beds and a large futon, large table, TV/DVD player, mini fridge & microwave and 1 bathroom. The room was plenty big and we chose to save a little $ by bringing some food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast in the lodge was excellent with waffles, english muffins, jam & PB, yogurt, coffee and tea. They had a toaster, microwave and pizza oven for frozen pizzas.
We tried out their sled hill which was really fun. We brought our own sleds, but the lodge also had ones to borrow. The girls tried out the ice rink and borrowed skates from the lodge. They have 2 huge hottubs separated by a privacy wall. We used the hot tubs almost every night and had both of them to ourselves which was really nice. We did pay to go next door to the hot tub pool the first night which was a waste of money. It's pretty run down and the ones at the lodge are nicer if you're just going to soak. The pool next door that we paid to use had an outdoor pool at about 84 degrees--the girls went out for 2 seconds and came right back to the indoor pool that was about 100 degrees. We didn't go back there.
The owners at the lodge were friendly and helpful in recommending things to do and places to eat. We drove about 30 miles into Idaho and hiked into Jerry Johnson hot springs (about a mile in) The trail was a brick of ice, but we had a good time anyway and spent our time in the middle pool which was the warmest. We were able to snowmobile directly from the lodge without having to trailer anywhere. We got lucky and had groomed trails behind the lodge one day and another day we rode the other side to the warming hut. We went to 2 awesome restaurants that you don't want to miss--Guys (Lolo) Steakhouse and Lumberjack's Saloon. They had great Montana character and excellent food. The main purpose for our visit was to check out UM in Missoula and MSU in Bozeman. We hiked to the M in Missoula and had a great view of the town and campus. Both campuses were beautiful and worth the trip from Seattle.

Room Tip: It was nice having the deluxe room because of the fridge and microwave. We were on the top floor and...

You are correct that the Lolo Steakhouse is excellent. A bit pricey but excellent steak and seafood. Lumberjacks Saloon is a wonderful laid back log style bar that serves casual food such as burgers and chicken wings. These two restaurants are totally different. I'm glad you tried all of our amenities this winter. I truly think we are a Winter Wonderland!

Wow! What an awesome place to stay. My boyfriend and I went up during the middle of the week to catch some back-country skiing on Lolo pass and this was the perfect place to stay. The staff was extremely friendly, we practically had the place to our selves, there was a friendly golden retriever in the lobby (It all felt like "home") and free breakfast in the morning! This was a very relaxed place to stay, clean rooms (They even comped us a larger room!) and a very convenient location - was awesome to drive up the road 15 min and hit some great snow and then come in for a soak in the pool! I can't wait to come back! Wish we never had to leave!

Room Tip: King rooms were right close to the lobby -perfect spot!

The cross country skiing is fabulous along with snowshoeing. We did offer downhill back country skiing for the diehards out there. Which one did you do? We hope to host you real soon.

The lodge was crowded as it was 3 day weekend. The parking lot was full of "sink holes" making it easy to get stuck. The room was clean but dark. After 4 p.m. the sound of water running thru pipes to hot tubs was constant until approx. 1000 A.M. the next a.m. when we were leaving. This is very annoying especially when one pays $140 for one night stay. Also noise from room above, we donot party all night. Probably not the best for an older couple! They did allow a dog which was great. The pools were nice and clean, only 96 and 100 degrees. Children were allowed to run and jump into the pools which are only about 2-3 ft. deep. An adult hour would have been great if this was allowed. The adjoining resturant(owned by someone else) is closed on Monday and Tuesday, making meals difficult as there are no cooking facilities other than microwaves. The Lodge provided waffle breakfast which is not acceptable for everyone...we wre told there would be yogurt and other choices, not so.

Room Tip: Not good if you are a light sleeper. Ask not to to be assigned room A-1.

Eeek. You are correct, we only rent 1-A out when we are full. The room is next to our Natural Hot Springs pump room where the water is cycled at times. We have found that our seniors love to come during the weekend when they have the place to themselves. I loved your idea on "adult hour" for the tubs or perhaps have one of the two tubs reserved for adults during specific hours. We will definitely talk about that. Our conveinent store does offer frozen pizza, burritos, pot pies and other quick meals if the next door restaurant is closed. We also have a few restaurant choices within a short drive as well. We hop to see you again during the week when it is slower.

I'm glad you came during our 1st annual WinterFest. We plan on hosting it again with an outdoor BBQ, ice rink , snowsled hill, snowshoe rental and coplimentay ice skate rental. We also had the polar bear plunge which was a huge success. I think we will have it the same time next year, the 2nd week of February.

The Lodge at Lolo Hot Springs is a great place to get away from it all. We stayed 2 nights, Feb. 8th and 9th 2013. The lodge and surroundings are very beautiful and peaceful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. I can’t say enough for the service. The owners are the nicest people ever!! As for activities, there are a lot of things to see and do right around the lodge and more just up the road. Tons of stuff to explore and experience. Thank you for the awesome weekend….. We will be back.

We spent 2 nights at the Lodge and really enjoyed our time there. The room was very nice and comfortable. We found the owners to be extremely friendly and helpful (this really contributed to our good times). We snowshoe'd on Sunday to the top of the trail and found the scenery to be breathtaking - overall our stay was simply wonderful!! Given the opportunity, we would return for another visit as it was a pretty amazing weekend ...

Room Tip: King Size room was pleasant and comfortable. There were guests above us so the noise level was more...
