I showed up with a confirmed reservation to be told " we dont have a king room...here's a 2 queen." But i reserved a King room. My husand is 6'5" and a queen room is not an option fo rus. "Well, then we can put you in a king room, but there's one with no hear, and the other with no TV" It was 10:30 pm, so we took no TV and went to bed.
Clearly the situation was not ideal, not what we reserved, and handled ina pretty cavalier/uncaring manner. Wasn't it possible for the working TV to be relocated to one room, so that only 1 room was "unusabble", especially knowing that there was a reservation coming in for that room??
The staff made little effort to accomodate or care that we were inconvenienced. Even during check out the next morning, I had to request a receipt, and saw that we were charged full price ($189), for a room without the amenities, and that we had to fight for. Worse was the fact that all through the hotel are signs "satisfactionguaranteed". It was clear that we were not satisfied with not only the check in staff, but at check out as well. I reached out to the "Guest Services" department for assistance that night...and now 6 days later I still have not received a response. NOT what I expect from the Hilton.....very disappointed.
