“Welcoming!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

This is an RV park --- so it is what it is --- but the front office staff, children play area, location, grounds upkeep, privacy, site facilities (they welcome tent dwellers too), scenery and $ rate are ALL excellent! I'll be coming back.

We go here every year, it is a very nice camp ground and we find it very quiet. There is lots for children to do and it is dog friendly. If you walk to the out side of the campground there is a paved path for you to walk or bike. It is quite close to Walmart and Costco. Not far from anything really. It is a great place to sit back and enjoy!! The only thing they could have is better signs to the campground. It is hard to find. But well worth it to keep looking!

We stayed at this campground and used it as our base to travel to Flathead Lake and Glacier National Park. This campground is designed for families. There is a playground at the entrance where the kids go back and forth without looking; however, a good sized speed bump alerts folks to slow down. There is a stream where kids swim and rent canoes. The rear of the campground (where we were located) is quiet and faces the mountains. Nice full moon as well as sunsets on the playground side. we were very satisfied with the exception of the playground entrance area...be very careful entering and the weak wifi. Otherwise a 5. It is a perfect location just outside of Kalispell and a short 12 miles to whitefish. 27 miles to the west entrance to Glacier.

We found Rocky Mountain 'Hi' RV Park and Campground by following the signs to the nearest campground while driving into Kalispell.

We stayed in a tent in one of the 4 tent sites nearest the entrance to the park. Our site was between the creek and the storage facility (which was a non-issue for us, as there is a large berm that separates them). We have a very large tent (for a family of 4) and we had ample room to spare in our site. The creek ran in front of our site and is less than a foot deep. The kids (7 and 9) played there for HOURS, stopping only to check out the mini town on the playground and have something to eat. The kids asked to swim in the swimming hole, but we didn't allow it, as it looked a little stagnant for my taste.

We did laundry there as well - 2 loads cost $4US, which I thought was a steal of a deal. There is a very clean washroom right inside the laundry building, which is open and lit all night. The showers were dated, but extremely clean and the water spray was quite nice.

The service seriously lacked friendliness, but other than that, there is nothing at all to complain about.

I think we paid $23 for the site and $3 for a bundle of wood. WIFI didn't work for us, but we were also right at the edge of the campground. Campground was very quiet.

Oh, and there are no bears, which was a huge pleasant surprise for us. Garbage containers were plastic rubber maid containers.

We would return to this campground without question. Happy camping!

We would camp

We were fortunate to find this great RV park as drop-ins. The grounds are attractive with clean showers, laundry facilities plus great service by friendly people! Our space overlooked open fields facing the mtns and sunrises. So quiet too.

Room Tip: Spaces at back and outside edges have great views!

We stumbled upon this campground while passing through Kalispell. What a gem! We ended up staying longer than we planned. Excellent rates for full hook up; large, well treed, private sites; quiet; great playground; clean washrooms/showers. The swimming hole and creek provided hours of fun for us all - remember to bring your floaty toys!
**Note about the swimming spot: We will pass on it next time if the summer has been as hot as this one - 4 of the 5 of us who swam got swimmers itch :(

This campground is nicely located minutes outside of Kalispell, it was very clean and washrooms were also kept clean. the camp site offer adequate privacy with lots of trees, most sites are pull through. We stayed in a 34' trailer and had no problem moving around in the sites. The management was very accommodating, as we only reserved 1 week but because we were so happy with the place we decided to stay an additional 6 nights, and after checking several other campgrounds in the area we wouldn't stay anywhere else. It was a family holiday, we have three small boys and felt very comfortable with the playground, swimming area, and campground, in means of safety and security, excellent family location, our kids loved it. The WiFi was slow and at times didn't work, but at least they have it. For the price, you get more than what you pay for. We are already planning to return to Rocky Mountain Hi Campground next summer.
